    funny stuff... he wasn't working that game and he didn't say anything terrible. sure it's ultimately embarrasing for him but i don't think he should be fired.

    The guy who should be fired is the one who said, "Hey, let's put Rick on the air." Couldn't they tell he was drunk before the put him in front of the microphone??

    he was drunk and rambling, but what did he do wrong? he didnt hurt or offend anyone (besides himself). if he was drunk and working the game that would be a problem, but he wasnt. he was a badass pitcher and he's retired. let him have a beer or ten.

    i love bill murray - "you were a cub". that explains why he was hanging w/ sutcliffe.

    I don't understand why if somebody is hammered and on tv they always have to issue an apology or something. Big deal, they're drunk. It happens to all of us. If anybody should bear the blame it's the TV people who put them up there when they're obviously wasted. If you don't want Namath slobbering over suzy culver on TV, don't do the interview, suzy.
