I'm just glad to be a survivor and be able to see my three kids grow up into terrific adults.

Last summer was just bad. Really bad. My uncle and my cousin and his family both lost their houses to Katrina in New Orleans. My cousin has moved to Houston. My paternal grandmother had to be evacuated and she and my cousin's family ended up staying with us in Tampa. Then I got sick. I just started feeling really weak, my appetite went to hell (I normally eat like a horse) and I went to the doctor. Got the news, which was obviously not well received by the family. But I told 'em I can beat it and failure is not an option.

Chemo took my long ass hair and I wasted away to nothing. Things reached a nadir when they found out the cancer, despite the chemo, was still spreading.
Finally they came up with a chemo cocktail, added some radiation treatment to boot and finally after five months, I whipped cancer's ass. But feeling like myself didn't start to around March or so, when I went to the 12 Hours of Sebring.

Weird thing was, after the cancer, my wife got a call from woman who runs the Saks operations in Georgia that she wanted to return to Florida. My wife and I, who have hated Tampa for a while now, realized that finally, we could go back where we're comfortable. Living on the beach is nice (we live in Clearwater Beach in Pinellas County), but the perpetual threat of hurricanes makes you wary. Besides, the Tampa metroplex is crime-ridden (far worse than Houston, but not as bad as NOLA once was), the traffic is abysmal and the people are large-type assholes.

My parents bought our land and our house and they gleefully sold it back to us, realizing that running a b & b in the mountains was not the way they'd like to spend their golden years. We're moving up in a few weeks.

I am pretty sure B-Bob posted that he wouldn't be around as much anymore, awhile back.

Start a "What's in your CD player" thread. That always brings Manny out of hiding. ;)

    Where the HELL is BrianKagy?
Who's next in line to don the LHutz moniker?
Why does HeyP post like once every 2 years?
Did Man Ram finally discover love?
Has Trader_Jorge gone to the big Republican convention in the sky?
Did the award-winning MacBeth get Macbanned after his MAC-NIFICIENT return?
Speaking of which, where did SJC go?

    I want answers, people.

Strangely, I noticed ManRam being gone, but not SJC, and I think SJC has been away much longer.

ahh yes, that was the piling on which all other piling on's will be measured against. truly epic.

and people, just because Manny hasn't posted in 36, 37 minutes doesn't mean he's gone.

    j/k Manny.

Bamma, glad that you are doing ok man. Cancer is a real beast. I've had family members beat it, and my own mother was lost to cancer.

The treatments are definitely brutal, but I am glad to hear that you came out on top.

They were neither epic, nor duels. The_Conquistador made his opponents humble like Iron Sheik.

I don't think MacBeth get MacBanned. Looks like he just MacFled in MacShame.

Yeah I read that as well, but he would still pop in from time to time, but it has been a long time now.

Glad to here it and hope you have fun up there...Back to the original question, where is TJ, did he get banned for being a little too flamboyant and rough around the edges...or was it his flare for fashion, we'll never know...

The long hair is back.....finally. My wife thought I looked cool, though, with a bald head and a fu manchu. I played basketball a few weeks ago, got winded really quickly, but God it was fun just to expend some energy. But jeez, I couldn't buy a bucket from outside 12 feet. My jumper went waaaaaaaay south.

RM95.....it really freaked me out when I saw this thread. I swear I was sitting at home earlier today thinking I should start one of these threads. Specifically, I was thinking of the whole Hurricane Rita fiasco last year, which made me think of drapg since I think that is the last time he posted. And you even mentioned him in your post. Freaky!
