Maxwell got 2 rings! Yes he got the second ring.

And KENNY SMITH (who KNOWS Maxwell) keeps giving him props.
recently on TnT mentioned scorers on the Rockets who helped them in the playoffs.

    MARIO ELIE mentions Vernon Maxwell

    SAM CASSELL mentions Vernon Maxwell

They loved Max and they accepted Max as he is.. Mad.

    Max and Ralph=INNOCENT!!

He might have. But he sure as heck didn't earn that 2nd ring. The team stood up for him when he got suspended, and then he up and quit on them in the playoffs. Hakeem, Mario, Sam, Bob, Kenny, that's the group that earned two.

Otis deserved another ring. I should have asked him if he got it.

Kenny still sticks up for Vernon.

    That's what friends are for.

I became a Bonds fan last night when it hit me that he doesn't deserve the treatment he gets.

Bonds is the pile on target for the steroid era. He didn't sign an autograph. Bonds is an ass. He didn't speak to the media. Bonds is an ass. He got hit in the head with a ball. LOL. Bonds is an ass.

Guy gets hit by a drunk driver, rendering him a quadriplegic, and says "I'm happy I'm still alive". Drunk driver says "what is everyone so mad about, the guy said he was happy!"

The problem is that Bonds should have been a nice guy and signed the ball. Then the fan would have been even happier.

Though I think situations do obviously play a role in this, still, any major league athlete who just out and out doesn't sign autographs is a jerk. That's the point. If they've signed autographs for 5-10 minutes and politely say sorry, I can't do anymore signing...that's ok.

    In this case, Bonds was:

    (1) right there
    (2) took a picture with him
    (3) had the fan sign a waiver so Bonds could show it on his reality show

yet didn't have half a second to autograph the ball. It doesn't speak highly of Bonds, regardless of how happy the fan may have been to have gotten that far, or how many other a-hole players may exist taht refuse to do autographs.

Add on the fact that he continues to lie about the steroid thing...how does this guy have any fans anymore?

Bonds is not a backup catcher called up from AAA. He may be under contract with a marketing/promotions company to not sign autographs except at their shows. There are two sides to every story. I forgot Bonds is an ass.

    713 home runs.

OK, athletes who don't do autographs are jerks now. So, Bill Russell must be a big one, he didn't even do autographs for teammates.

Who the hell cares about 713? Seriously? It's not a record-setting baseball. It's not a record-tying baseball. It's not a baseball that moves him into 2nd place on the list, or ties him for 2nd place. He's still 42 home runs behind Aaron. Honestly, it's a non-event.

I wonder if Bonds had actually signed the autograph if there would be an article or thread congratulating Bonds on being a good guy.
