Mack always played well off the bench being a solid player who knows the Rox' system, and having him would remove Rudy's excuse for not starting Mobley at the 2 and Shandon at the 3: the need for an energy guy on the bench. At the very least, having Mack would allow Rudy to experiment with that starting lineup to see if Steve and Mobley would be be effective together on the court.

I for one think Cat and Francis together with Shandon (hope he keeps up the 27 point performance!) would shred any defense put up in front of it. With Drew and Mack to come in for some 3 point daggers, our backcourt rotation would be deadly.

"Regardless of what some people think of Mobley's greatness, he still is only hitting around 37 percent from the field, and so is Drew. Thats horrible even for you backups."

Drew's hitting 44.6% from the field and 41.5% from the arc.

Walt's 90 days are about up. I could see us trading Walt and signing Mack.

Walt has not impressed. His shooting so far has been off, his D does not involve him actually moving his feet, and he won't run on the fast break. I heard on 950 last night from know-it-all Fran Blinebury that Walt's legs may be totally shot.

One thing that has impressed me with Walt is that he is a very capable driver. He also surprisingly blocks shots, most of which are never registered by the official scorer.

Walt is definitely not in the Rocks future plans, so I say trade him if we can find any takers. Even if we don't sign Mack, Bullard can take his minutes and might even run the break.

I'm confused about this 90 day thing. I thought that was only for signed players, not traded players.

In that case, we could have traded Walt a long time ago if we wanted to.

Mack will probably eat up some of Rogers and most of the Wiz's minutes. I don't know if he would play at the 2 or 3 with Anderson shifting over to the 3 more when mack is in the game.

Sam Mack is a 2 and not a 3. Mack would get killed at the 3 on defense. We already have both Anderson and Mobley at the 2 and we don't have room for Mack there.

Now if they plan to start Mobley at the 2 and Anderson at the 3 then having Mack makes a lot more sense. That gives us Mack as the first backup at the 2 and we have Rogers, Bullard and Walt at backup at the 3.

Walt has been a complete disaster and is probably the main reason that Rudy felt we didn't need Mack in the first place. But if Walt continues to be a bust, then I can see Anderson at the 3 and we would sign Mack for the backup 2.
