Did you drink more under the age of 21 or over the age of 21?

I thought I drank a lot when I was in high school, but I catch myself drinking almost every night. I'm not talking about getting hammered, but I like to have a drink at least every other night. During high school, you would drink on the weekends and maybe once during the week.

 

Under. I don't even drink anymore other than a shot of whiskey every other month or so.

 

The FBI and other agencies do exempt answering "yes" to a question about smoking pot, as long as you say you won't do it again.. But you're right, a clean record obviously makes things easier.

 

when you're younger, its about getting drunk, and when you're older, its about enjoying the flavor...

It is about 50/50 as sad as that sounds...once I turned 21 and it was legal, it lost all its coolness...Nowadays, I just like to get young college co-eds drunk...

I turn 22 next month. I never really drank in high school; probably only 2-3 times in all of high school and that was in my last semester as a senior. My freshman and sophmore year of college was drinking and partying pretty much every weekend. By the middle of my junior year I started drinking a lot less and volunteering to be DD more often. Now, getting ready to graduate, I drink more for the flavor and rarely, if ever, "drink to get drunk". I'd rather drink a couple of good beers or mixed drinks and just socialize. I find that I have more fun that way and it's easier to pick up girls when you aren't looking like a drunken idiot.

 

i started drinking late in high school - at least compared to most of my friends who really started drinking around 9th grade. i voted before 21, but in reality i was a very heavy drinker from my senior year in high school up until about a 8 months ago.... so from 18 to 23 or so. my last semester of college i took nights off more frequently, even weekend nights. even then i was still drinking at least 3 or 4 nights a week.

i have a drink almost every day/night of the week now, but it's much more for taste than anything else. i glass of wine or a couple of great beers w/ dinner, that sort of thing.

 

Being that i am 23 this isnt really that relevant to me. However i have found that my drinking habits have changed substantially since i have been 21, i drank many more times a week and much much more when i was in high school than i do now. I am a junior in college and i probably only get drunk twice a month. I guess i just got it all out of my system early.

 

I drink more often now, but I got drunk more frequently back then...
