I never realized it before... but maybe these two work better together than Shandon and Francis. Afterall, it may be that Francis is simply too dominating on the ball to give Anderson and opportunity to shine. With Anderson and Drew, you have a shooter and a slasher. Perhaps a Francis + Mobley combination and a Anderson + Drew combination would work best. I think that Anderson should get more minutes than Mobley, and Francis MANY more than Drew, I just think that by making those pairings, one might optimize their talents.

BTW, Kenny Thomas looks fairly good.

Heehee, nice problem to have. Finally have excellent guards again. The problem is Mobley is improving so much and IS SO CLUTCH it is making it difficult to decide who gets more time - him or Shandon Anderson. And then when Stevie is here and Bryce is playing good. Wow. Is there room for everyone. I hope so.

I still think Shandon should get lots more time and be at the 2 (not including the SF scenario cus I'm not sure about that) while Cuttino continues to get lots of time sharing duties at PG with Stevie and Bryce.

How that fits in with my belief that we need a veteran backup point guard? It doesn't I guess. I would not give up Shandon Anderson or Cuttino Mobley.

Does anyone have anymore information on if Shandon has ever played small forward or would even want to. He hit some 3's tonight so he can shoot. Actually, I thought he hit 3's last year but I'm not positive. Anyway, if he could play some 3, that would solve the problem, I agree.

He hit a lot of 3's last year with the Jazz. I unfortunately live in Utah so I have to watch the Jazz a lot and he was clutch with them last year. If he is given the chance he will play well. I think he feels lost right now in the the offense and doesn't want to take away from Steve, Charles, and Hakeem's touches, so he has not asserted himself in the offense. As the season progresses he will be better and better in our offense and will start to slash more. He is already playing good defense which is key. He will be ok, just give him time to adjust, our offense is not even similar to Utah's.

    Lifetime Rocket,

    Can't agree more!

Is it tough to be a Rockets fan in Utah? I guess so.

    Take care, MAN! [IMG]

Anderson is a natural small forward. He's a little undersized when it comes to certain matchups, but that's his natural position. If we could start Elie at small forward for a time, then I don't know why we couldn't start Shandon there. I use to wonder about Shandon guarding bigger small forwards, but I've come to the conclusion that he would do a better job than Williams. And if we needed some height, we could always bring in Carlos off the bench.
