Are you incapable of forming an oppinion without attacking others.

By your definition, a random-pseudo-analyst is someone who's a fan with a different opinion with a Rockets player. Now, you are in delusion if you think you don't have opinions that's different with Jon Barry regarding Rockets, because You aren't a Jon Barry clone. Following your logic, you are in fact just a random-pseudo-analyst youself, and I won't take a random-pseudo-analyst's opinion into consideration, including your blind worship to St.Barry!!!

Also, following you pseudo logic of your great mind, you should hate JVG because Micheal Jordan absolutely hates JVG, and MJ is one of the smartest players of all time.

I'll take MJ's opinion over your NBA journey man Jon Barry. :p

There is this thing called... you're taking this too far, when it is so simple. Nobody is worshipping nobody.

And clearly Jon Barry is not St. Barry. Sorry my rhetorics made this thread unneccesarrily complicated. :(

Okay, every player and former player that has played under Van Gundy is wrong, and you, the BBS JVG haters, Derek Anderson, and the shining bastion of basketball IQ that is Steve Francis are right. My mistake.

My stance is although Jon Barry's words should be taken into account due to his credentials. His words are far from the be all end all judgement on JVG. Or at least, not to the point of every sentence from his mouth is the truth and anything different from a fan should be erased. For example, he thinks JVG's X's & O's are phenominal and I'm not sure what he means. If judged by results I don't know how great X's & O's turns into low points totals year after year, or how does it turns into a 40 points gigantic whoop a$$ from the Mavs. I find it hard to place all the blame on the players.

I have a thought. In only very rare cases that players criticize coach or club IN PUBLIC. Especially for those who wanna be a commentator, or still wanna play in this team or even NBA, saying bad things about others is not a smart thing to do. Well unless you're as famous as TMac, Shaq, MJ, AI, then you'll need to speak out on what you REALLY need because what you need is beyond a stable job.

Besides, players' interest may not be the same as fans. All we care is the team's success, but players pay more attention to individual interest. So a player's favorite coach is necessary a great coach for the team or for fans.

After all that has been said and now that the sting of the horrible season is starting to wear down..since I don't have to watch them lose game after game..I think JVG deserves one more year to turn this thing around...You can't fire a guy based on one bad year filled with injuries....

Thats true but there is no-way a coach should lose all those games w/ tracey out. We still had Yao playing and the rockets were still getting done.

During a 15 game stretch with Yao playing we still went 4-11 between mid March and Mid April and thats when we started searchin for the playoffs too! The 4 wins was against seattle, golden state, washington and N.O. with yao.
We also went 1-15 in our divison
