Sorry there's no link because I heard it from a CCTV's interview to Yao.

    - On Swift:

"Many people are saying this and that to Swift. But I feel it's not that bad. There should be still expectation on him."

    - On overall roster rotation:

"We players are realistic. If (the rotation) can bring victory, then it's good, otherwise not that good. And also the chemistry, locker room atmosphere, etc. But I don't think it's all that disappointed. There's still hope."

    - On Rockets playing with injury:

"We still have to try our best whatsoever. If we're afraid, then we may as well just don't do anything at all." (Sorry this part I may not get it totally accurate.)

I doubt it is direct quote. Why would he speak in English when interviewed by CCTV?

OK, maybe my humor doesn't make sense to you guys.

By this post I was actually implying that it's not the problem of Yao's English, but mine.

Yao did this interview in Chinese of course because he was facing CCTV. The program was showed in CCTV5 last Friday night and this morning (Monday).

Was the interview an old or very recent one ?

    I mean......was it before or after Yao Ming's injury/surgery ?

Oops, you got me. But this program was a subject within the newest episode of their weekly show 'Basketball Park' (篮球公园:2006-15). And it was about the review of Rockets 2005 ~ 2006 season. So I assume it's a latest one.

Basically the Chinese analysts think the major failure in roster rotation was: 1) shipping out Mike James; 2) getting Swift and Enderson which by the middle of the season had been proved to be not suitable for JVG's system.
