... free throw shooting is STILL terrible. The Rockets were lucky that was ONLY Clippers. Again, could we hire Calvin Murphy as our free-throw coach??????
although the overall free throw shooting was bad, if you take away barkely's miserable night (4-10) the rest of the team shot 80% (20-25)...
Pls give Charles a break, the man is 37, played 48 minutes one night and 40 the next but still managed a near triple double. Fatigue is what was wrong.
I guess Charles must be extremely exhausted after all those OT's, but did he shoot bad FT even before all those games? 4-10 is not his usual number, but do you think he needs to put some more efforts in doing better in that particular category of his career? I care about CB's FT shooting because he's the one who goes to the line most frequently. And you know, FT's win us games, and also cost us games. Charles knows it, too.
Even Barkley himself said after the game that "his poor free-throw shooting was part of the reason Los Angeles narrowed the gap to three points with 9:07 remaining." Did I say he knew it? Anyway, we are not going to blame anyone after a WIN, let alone blaming a 37 after he had a double OT the night before. We voiced out because Barkley is still the MAN in our heart.
Actually, I think that Barkley was missing those free throws on purpose in the small chance that he might get his own rebound, thus upping his rebounding average.* *Sarcasm alert
Chuckster's FT% is down this year, he should shoot better at the line I agree. His FT is at the avarage level of pfs, but not good enough.
