This tree is growing in my back yard. I just trimmed it and was wondering if I could use the branches in my grill for smoking wood

Oh well, I guess I'll have to keep snipping off my neighbor's Pecan branches in the middle of the night. :D

It looks like a live oak. Don't try smoking with it, or else your meat will be completely black....believe me.

If those btanches hang over your property, I believe that you can cut'm in the middle of the day (just don't kille tree).

(And if they don't hang over yet...and it's a pecan... they will be soon or later)
