I like how nbainsider (much-maligned as it is) talked about this:

It makes you wonder what Jeff (Webber) will say when Tim Potvak of the Orlando Sentinel or Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle calls. Maybe Chris would mention a wedding in Houston (as long as the Rockets trade Mo Taylor) and a honeymoon at Disney World (as long as the Magic don't trade Mike Miller).

We're waiting with bated (sic) breath.

    IN OTHER WORDS,
A guy from the NY Post calls and of course will steer the question pro-Knicks; and Jeff Webber, the good brother, the faithful soldier, will tell them exactly what Chris told the Detroit media last week: Sure. Absolutely! Freaking awesome! You betcha!

But, yes, as you say, we'll know soon enough.

why did you write (sic) after "bated"? "bated breath" is the correct spelling.

I didn't realize myself that "bated" was right. From the American Heritage dictionary:

Usage Note: The word baited is sometimes incorrectly substituted for the etymologically correct but unfamiliar word bated (“abated; suspended”) in the expression bated breath.

I'm so amazingly cool you could keep a side of meat in me for a month. I am so hip that I have difficulty seeing over my pelvis.
