There is a larger consumption of music, video games, and video games in the United States than any other nation. The U.S lifestyle and culture is built around it. In my opinion.

Yup! That's because America is the most capitalistic, consumption driven economy in the whole world. The dark side of capitalism clearly shows in the high rates of murder, drug use, rape, crime, and petty thefts here, and all the corporate scandals that have taken place. I'd rather have a Scandinavian style of capitalism that has an emphasis on the equal distribution of income and good social services lacking in this country.

I don't know about that. I think video games in Korea and possibly Japan have a higher per capita cosumption.

I think calling socialistic practices in Scandinavia 'Scandinavian style capitalism is a great way to sell it here in the states.' :D

You know, how much of an effect the media - movies, music and video games - has on this kind of agressive behavior (there are studies that lean the other way) really is of no consequence. Cause why are these kids playing games like Halo and GTA or listening to explicit music or watching R rated movies in the first place? I'm just sick of people (including the parents) pointing fingers at everyone else except the parents.
