what do you guys think? They've got Jarrett, Christian, Steiner, Sting, etc. Lots of athleticism, but still unentertaining?

I gave up on rasslin' when I found MMA. It just got too stupid with the storylines. I'm speaking of WWE, of course.

The X-division kicks ass, but the WWE/WCW retread division is still pretty boring...Christian is good in that division, but that's about it...

Does that include the UFC? I really tried to watch UFC, but that crap is horrible...It's basically get your opponent on the ground and wrap your legs around him until he submits...

My opinion on TNA is that Sting should have never made his comeback.

And on MMA, A-train pretty much sums it up about UFC; too much damn submission stuff. I know some of the "martial arts purists" will argue, "well that's all part of real fighting," then my argument would be why don't they let them punch someone's nuts or hit in back of their head.

The great thing about Pride is that it seems someone always gets KNOCK THE FOCK OUT!!!!!! After all, the UFC is in the entertainment biz so they should cut down on the amount of time you are able to hold a person down- too boring. This is why boxing is so entertaining: you're just sitting there waiting for someone to get punk'd.

It's OK to me. I still get my rush for WWE even though NWA/TNA has my WWE Favs in Kevin Nash, Team 3D, James Bros, Rhino, and others. I still don't really like the octagon though, too complex I guess IMO.

Jarret, Steiner, Sting et al should never have been put back on tv. Booooring.

The X-Division is pretty fun, though. It's a shame Styles sounds like a r****ded hick when he opens his mouth, because he could have been a real star. Basically I think TNA should trim the fat... they get one hour of tv a week to promote their (typically pretty good) PPVs. There is no sense investing any of that time in heavyweight WWE cast-offs, also-rans and never-weres. They should concentrate on what they do well that WWE doesn't, which is fast-paced, high-flying action and can the meandering crap with the girls, the inane worked shoots and Raven's tiresom hijinks.

    Okay, my thoughts.

I havent been able to get into NWA-TNA. I mean this promotion has potential to be something good. What they need to do is build the roster with their own self made stars, sprinkled in with some top name indy stars, some over sea stars and a few WWF retreads.

Did anybody see the Samoa Joe, Jushin Lyger match? That was entertaining.

Jarrett needs to get the hell out of the way too. Steiner sucks. Sting, I love, but he can't do much.

Christian, Joe & AJ are enough to keep me watching.

Christian should have been used like this in the WWE. The best thing that could ever happen to TNA is if they managed to attract Jericho, It would be one of the biggest signings in some time.

I just wanted to comment on the statement that boxing is more entertaining than MMA namely UFC, I feel it is the other way around. Don't get me wrong, I'm a violent sort of guy and enjoy watching them both (acutally I enjoy the science of both) but this past weekend I watched UFC 59 and the Mayweather Juda fight and to me the UFC is light years ahead of boxing as far as entertainment. In the Juda MW fight you knew it was going to the judges the whole fight, Mayeather had on what looked like those novelty looking gloves which I assume he wore because of a preexisting hand injury but you knew that despite his being so much better than Juda there was no way he was going to knock out anybody with these glove. MMA it only takes one punch as witnessed in the Sylvia Orlovsky fight. Orlovsky had Sylvia hurt and almost out but he could not finish Sylvia regained his legs and caught Orlovsky with a shot and was able to finish him. This all happened in a matter of 30 seconds. And the Tito Ortiz Forrest Griffin fight was just as entertaining. In MMA anything can happen at any time while in boxing I can pretty much call what will happen beofre the fighters even step in the ring.

I predict that MMA will overtake boxing in the next 10 years. IMO MMA is the most exciting sport on the planet. And to those that complain about the fights going to the ground just be patient and watch a little more. I used to feel the same way. The more I watched the more I understood what was happening on the ground and how much was really going on for position, sub attempts, and defense. The UFC and PRIDE are not supposed to simulate a real street fight as Tank Abbott would be the greatest HW champ to ever live, but this is martial arts and is supposed to be techincal and very strategical. Just watch a little more and pay attention to what is happening on the ground and you will find appreciation to what they are really trying to do when they go there.

i hate UFC's (i think it's them) weight class. if you're gonna have people fight to see who's teh best, screw having weight classes. if a 150 pounder wants to prove he's teh best, let him go in there with the 300 pounder. let them fight however they want except eye gouges and hits to the nuts.

How did Sting come back? I was flipping channels one time and I saw Sting on there and I thought whoa, he's back, but he was talking about retiring on his own terms and left his bat in the ring and walked out. What was the story line for him coming back, retiring, and then coming back again?

The reason I can't get into it, is that everytime I see that Don West guy, all I can remember is him screaming "Gem Mint 10!" on that ball card show they had on the Shop At Home channel. Seems like they could have found someome other than him to provide color.

Also, I can't stand Jeff Jarrett. I guess you can't avoid him when his family is involved in the promotion. But any wrestling promotion that touts Jarrett as it's main star is not going to suceed.
