    how are the nationals worth so much?

    Its only been a little more than a year since the escape from montreal and they're already in the top 10?

    In addition to location, they just agreed to build a new stadium in the heart of DC... they took that into account with the valuation.

    speaking of which, it's supposed to transform my work area from a ghetto-ish place to something pretty decent. i guess equivalent to how houston's downtown improved after enron was built, sorta?

    I believe it is called Minute Maid Park now. Enron does not exist any more. Either way downtown looks a lot prettier since MMP was built.

    It was and I remember going to one of the first games...I had tickets to the first pre-season game there vs. the Yankees, but couldn't go...My parents went and I still have the cap...sweet...

    Yes, it does. It's going to take at least ten years to get all of those contracts turned over to other vendors. They no longer employ thousands upon thousands and are governed quite strictly, but they most certainly exist.
