link Woman Sues Chuck Hayes Michelle Rauch Action News 36 Apr 20, 13:03 PM EDT The woman who made allegations of sexual misconduct against former UK basketball player Chuck Hayes is suing him. A lawsuit was just filed in federal court suing Hayes for 75-thousand dollars. Cynthia Wilson Smithers says she is entitled to at least that much money for the damage she claims she suffered from a case brought on last year by allegations of sexual misconduct. The Midway woman says as a result of her claim... she has "sustained pain and suffering, embarrassment, and damage to reputation." When the police report was first filed Action News 36 did not release Smithers' name or Chuck Hayes' name... while they investigated the case. It is our policy not to release the names of alleged victims of sex crimes. But since the criminal case was dropped and now Smithers is going public with this lawsuit and laying out her claims again .... we are releasing her name. She wants a trial by jury and money.
I think they said that he had consensual sex with her, and then she freaked out. No charges were ever filed. Rape is horrible, but people who cry rape when it never happened should be thrown in jail too. DD

So I don't get this. What exactly did Hayes do wrong? It's not his fault the lady is crazy. She has no chance at winning this. And did Hayes actually have sex with her?
