Let me tell you a little about my added pressure... My wife is due on July 3rd with our second child (another girl). This baby is definitely coming early... in fact we've had two "Is this it?"s in the last 2 days. I know this is insensitive and possibly sexist, but.... For 7 months now (not a joke), since I learned the due date was July 3rd, I have had this bad feeling that she is going to go in to labor on NBA Draft Day. Meaning: Wednesday, June 27th at around 4pm or so. If I miss the draft I'll probably slip in to a coma. It's honestly the funnest (and most time-consuming) day of the year for me to do the site, and I have been a fanatic of the draft since I was a kid. Bring a laptop with you to the hospital I love the NBA draft day too -- my favorite non-holiday day of the year. And oftentimes, it beats out the holidays too. ------------------ CC.net's most courteous driver Oh yeah, and I'm looking for a job right now, so hire me please
I love draft day...it's the best day of the NBA year for mine... Where I live, it will be Thursday morning...about 11am...so I will be at work. Thankfully I just scored a PRIME TIME new desk at work (prime time = no one can see my PC due to the new location) so I can look busy all day while watching the draft unfold;-) ------------------
Ive been waiting for draft day since the season ended , It really is like the lottery because you take a chance on anyone you select . ------------------
It's good to find like minded souls. Draft day IS my favorite day of the year. The surprises, the intrigue, the sudden trades announcements. I love this game! Good luck on the baby, Clutch. At this late stage, Mom is so uncomfortable, and with another little one running around...sheesh, man, how are you even here? Been there, done that, too old to do it again. But in a few more years, Grandkids!! All the fun. None of the work. Yeaaaaa. ------------------ "We're having a pretty good time considering one day we're all going to die." Clutch, I can kind of relate, but not in the same magnitude--by the way, good luck with everything! But I read somewhere a long time ago that you went on a mission...so you'll understand this one. The day I report into the MTC in Provo--Yup, June 27th, a couple of mere HOURS before the draft starts. I, too, LOVE the NBA Draft. It's one of the most exciting and fun days of the year. I don't know HOW I'm going to live without it this season. However, if the Rockets do indeed trade up and land Diop (my favorite player in this years' draft), my buddy personally has promised to drive up to the MTC and make a lot of noise and make an ass out of himself just to let me know. ------------------ Jazzkiller
Good luck with everything Clutch!!!, with 2 daughters I can tell you how mentally exhaustive the birth will be for your wife and you as well....As much as I want updates and up to the minute details please put your family first. You will be tired for several days so do the best to get your rest!!! p.s. but hurry and update the site.. ------------------ Rarely is the question asked: Guns kill squirrels than REDRUM to fools across the nation?
Draft day to me is like a second coming of the Super Bowl. I love college bball, and I love the NBA, so it's like putting the 2 together in one night. That and the future of franchises depend on the draft. Can't Wait! ------------------ The fun just never ends for them!
