i've noticed a trend with gasol's stats. he never has a lot of FGA's, quite few actually. yet he goes to the line about 10 times a game. i havent seen him lay so i'm not realy sure how that works out. can you fill me in boville? are his opponents playing "hack-a-gasol"? because at 14/17 it's not working. ------------------

Hi boville, I hope you can answer me some questions. If I looked it up correctly Gasol averaged 18.5 ppg in the Euroleague, but just 11.4 ppg in the spanish ACB. Why did he score more against better teams. And I think he played just 6 of the 10 games in the Euroleague and missed the playoffs. Why did he miss the other games? Thank you for your help.

Answering smoothie's question about how is Gasol game, here is how I see: Ballhandling/passing: Kukoc Jumpshot: Horry/Rasheed Wallace Post moves/near the basket: K. Garnet All the players he is compared to, I think the less acurate comparison is Nowitzki. Nowitzki is better shooter, rebounder and defender in low post situations. Gasol is better in shot-blocking, ballhandling, more athletic and perhaps a little bit quicker. Of course I don't think he has any comparison with Stojakovic, who is mainly a shooter. I thing in NBA he will be more a K. Garnett style of player when he gets stronger, also remainds me a little of Darius Miles. Also I think it's unfair all this comparisons, all great players (and Gasol for sure is one of them) has it's own style and personality. I understand howewer, that for people who haven't seen playing somebody it's a easy way to understand how could be that player.
first of all sorry for delay TO COLLIO: good point, 2 things: 1-his stats are lower in spanish league because he played many games with problems in his arm (problems with FT and other game´s situations) 2-In Euroleague he hadn´t this problem, and is famous here his special motivation in deccisive games (he is a natural leader) but Damn!! when Barcelona played deccisive playoffs he can´t play for a "apendicitis" surgery. This guy is special, he seems better each game (for now, his potential hasn´t limits) TO SMOOTHIE: I´m completely agree with Mcarron, is a good description, only one thing (Gasol is improving his shoot day to day) for me is a more complete player than Nowitzki.
