You know what is really funny is that Curry is probably a better player than the #1 pick from this year ever will be.

Of course there is the heart thing, but whatever.

Nothing can be worse than being a knick fan... think about it, it sucks so bad when your team has a rough season, but there is always a silver lining in the sense that you have a draft pick to rely on. Not only do the Knick fans have to suffer through a twenty win season, but to top it off they have NO DRAFT PICKS!!! Way to go Isaiah. I dont count their pick they got from the Spurs. They basically got a second round pick that they have to give guaranteed money to.

Ownership over the years has refused to just start over and rebuild. Instead of clearing cap room and stockpiling picks, they've always made moves to try to improve the present team. They were afraid of not selling tickets during a rebuilding period.

The funny thing is, since they've hamstrung themselves, and still suck, they've driven away more fans than they could have ever imagined. Instead of having a bad, but young team to watch grow, the fans have to watch a selfish quagmire of pseudostars.

Because of his 1-to-11 assist-to-turnover ratio, the horrible rebounding, and the pitiful defense, Curry is never going to average over 30 minutes a night. He's 16 and 6, tops, from here on out, at ten million a year.

No first overall pick will ever top that?

as crazy as it sounds, the high payroll is not that big of an issue when it comes to the knicks, because they make tons of money everytime they have a game at msg and people will continue to come and pay ridiculously high prices for tickets and all that no matter what

if this was a small market team like milwaukee or utah, then they would be in the red

with that said, however, isiah has made some horibble moves....the worst imo was signing jerome james to a multi-year deal

they have lots of young talent though and with isiahs as gm, and i've said this before, the rockets should try and get jamal crawford from the knicks in exchange for juwan and our 2nd round draft pick.....isiah might do it

i still can't believe that he took on Jalen Rose's contract! The guy is going to get paid 16-18Mil next season. THAT for a role player

The Knicks probabaly need a better coach.

Though the composition of the team is not great, how can LB not squeez out at least 35 wins from this team especially in the horrible East?

I know the Zen master is not thoroughly loved by all but I have a feeling that he would have done better with these guys. Heck even RudyT would have squeezed some juice out of this team.

Lets be serious, the Knicks team has talent. They had more talent than what we (Houston Rox) put on the floor most of the night. Save for maybe Yao Ming, who can we trully say is more on our team than the ones on the Knicks - position by position?

    Yao > Curry
    J. Howard = M. Rose (push)
    T-mac > Qyntel Woods
    Luther < Crawford
    Alston < Francis

The only talent they have is on the bench, they remind me of Memphis with their depth. They have good guards, but their front court is mediocre. Stro, Howard, Mutumbo are a push against them.

lets not forgot that Isiah wasnt the only GM who made a stupid trade:

The Clippers received a lottery-protected first-round draft pick from the Minnesota Timberwolves in the Sam Cassell-Marko Jaric trade.

Fair enough. But I am not counting TMAC this season because of his injury ladden season.

I am focusing on the team we saw for the most part since after this 2006.

Francis alone led his arguably lesser talented Rookie team to over 40 wins if I am not mistaken. Even last year's Knicks team showed more life...

I agree with you. Larry Brown has let the chemistry really fall to pieces. In fact, it looks like he was one of the primary chemistry-killers on that team.

I just don't know what happened to Larry. He did better with Iverson and Rasheed. He is a championship coach that has become one of the primary chemistry killers for the knicks. Maybe he doesn't care anymore and is full of himself after getting his ring.
