My neverending search for a car to replace my POS continues... Now I am looking at the new 4Runner, but I also found a pretty nice 2003 Toyota Sequoia for roughly the same price. The Sequoia is a Limited with 39,000 miles while the 4Runner that I was looking at is a no-frills base model. If you were me, which would you pursue?
I have a 2006 4runner sport model and I love it. I think they are offering low 2.9% financing right now so it might be cheaper to get the new 4runner vs the Sequoia.
This choice is easy. The 4-Runner drinks less gas and is easier to parallel park and drive around in the city.
I unloaded my 4Runner about six months ago for a Sequoia. I needed the third row and larger width. The 4Runner will not hold two carseats and allow someone to sit in the back...the Sequoia will. Additionally, while the 4Runner is a great looking vehicle...it drives like crap. It is rough and bumpy. The Sequoia, on the other hand, drives very smooth, but the 4Runner will definitely get you better gas mileage. I guess it comes down to personal preference and practicality.
Anybody have any comment on the new 2006 BMW 330 i sedan? thinkin about getting one. any info would be appreciated.
I have comments on it, but don't want to start a BMW love/hate debate - because inevatibly, people have strong feelings about BMW's - love'em or hate'em. That said...if you are thinking about it, obviously check out the Lexus IS350 and Infiniti just showed off their new G series this week - coming out in fall.
i would get the 4runner. gas prices are never going back down. and as for that link that infiniti is SWEET. i would love a black one!
i got a brand new '06 4runner a few weeks ago and love it. great looking SUV, real good gas mileage, and i personally think it drives rather well. ironically, my mom drives an 03 sequoia.... it does drive a bit smoother, but unless you really need the space/storage room, i dont think it's worth the significantly worse gas mileage. i work in downtown austin and the 4runner is much easier to drive and park in tighter spaces, which was a huge reason i chose it instead of the new tahoe.
