Cool truck...I'm not in the market, but I always debate on my next vehicle being a truck or a convertible...Pros and cons to each, but if it was a truck, I'd probalby get an Escalade or something, pre-owned...
You clearly have no boundaries and steadfastly refuse to compromise. Interesting sig, btw. I'd never heard that.
I have had an F-150 Supercab since Dec. 2003. It is the new body style. They are some mean ass trucks! But the gas is a mother. Welcome to filling up on 25 gallons! That means almost $75. I cut down on my leisurely driving as a result. I see it as a domino effect to where if I suffer, then other businesses will suffer because I am not going to visit them just on a whim.
I'm thinking about getting rid o my 02' F150 Supercrew. I love the truck but like others have said, filling up sucks. Its an 02' and I've got 117k on it, but I get 17 mpg, so not crazy bad. Its starting to get to that point where I've gotta start replacing parts. I've spent $1000 in the past month for tires, brakes, and AC repair. Let me know if anybody's interested. It's got a LowRider hard top for the bed, a billett grille, flowmaster exhaust, nice Panasonic HU, Sirius, and brand new tires.
nice truck! i've also heard the Honda Odyssey is just amazing. i've seen the inside and it has everything! hear it drives like a car and of course..it's a Honda so that's always a plus.
Congrats on the truck. OT: I have a friend that has an Odyssey (04 or 05) and the only thing he doesn't like about it is that he got the Touring version to get more options and that year that package only came with run-flat tires. He got a flat in Dallas and had to have a tire overnighted to him as even the Honda place in Dallas did not have the tire in stock. Then he had to pay somewhere around $500 new tire - flats are not covered under warranty. I'm not sure if this is still true. If you do get the Grand Caravan, make sure and change the transmission fluid on or even way before the recommended mileage. They've had a transmission problem for years.
You in the DFW area? Thanks for all the comments everyone! btw- I forgot to mention that this truck actually gets better gas mileage than my old Astro AWD... they were rated at 14/17... this truck is rated 14/19. And with cruise control (the "anti-lead foot") I can get to the family vacation spot on one tank... I don't mind the 30 gallon tank (currently $82.50 to fill)...because I was paying more due to lower mpg, and it was 22 gallons to fill the Astro AWD... (I keep putting "AWD" because it sucked down gas quicker than a RWD version 15/20). So it's really all just relative. Fill up once a week at $60, or every 10-12 days at $82.50... Of course I do hope the prices drop considerably. We saw $1.88 here at Christmas time... and man, to think I thought that was low!! Gotta do it anyway.
Nice. I was back and forth btwn the F-Series and a Tacoma (it's been almost 2 years now), but ultimately decided on the Tacoma, and couldn't be happier with my decision. The F-Series I think would've been too much truck for my needs, plus not as good fuel economy. And then I realized I'm just not a very big fan of the new generation models (too boxy). In fact I'm not a very big fan of any new generation truck (I got my Tacoma right before the new models came out).
Back in my day, we didn't have any boxy trucks... If you wanted a box on your truck you went and picked one up at a moving supply company and stuck it in your bed... And we liked it. Weeee loved it. Hallelujah, Oh happy day!
Too bad. I'm in the market for a sub box.... perhaps you could ship it if the deal's right?? Hook a fellow BBSer up! btw- anyone know who I'm spoofing in the last post on here?
I don't understand why you parked it in front of the goal. Rigs should be in the garage or on the street... never in front of the goal... you need to be free to shoot hoops on a moments notice. I'm really questioning whether you really deserve to post here.
Dana Carvey as the "grumpy old man" on the Weekend Update segment of SNL. Circa 1991 or so... On the Best of Dana Carvey DVD... btw- Thadeus, the construction is on-going. (I'm the foreman.)
