As mentioned, in Britney's defense, the fall itself was apparently the fault of the nanny. Britney and hubby come into fault waiting as long as they did to have the baby checked out.
+1. If your child hits their head and you wait 6 days to take them for a checkup, you're a moron. Now, if the doc checked the child the day of the accident, good job by parents for monitoring diligently and noticing something wrong.
When Britney starts posting here, I'll stop being annoyed by the obsession with her parenting skills. And I'm positive that no parent here has ever done anything dumb with their kids.
I would just like to tell Britney that she hasn't toured in the past 20 months because she can't seem to put down the Doritos and lose the baby weight. Lack of gravity... pshaw...
When it deals with personal stuff that you have no idea what's going on beyond what a tabloid or a paparazzi picture tells you, yes. I think you know there's an obvious difference between discussing how someone coaches or plays a basketball game when you can see how they perform for 48 minutes a game, 82 games a year and a miniscule fraction of a glimpse you see into how someone raises their children.
i think it's the nature of the claim that causes some to jump to her defense here. calling someone out as a parent...insinuating they aren't taking good care of their child...those are pretty strong comments. and with these tabloids, they're based on virtual nothingness.
Of course I have. I've never criticized anyone's parenting skills based on a picture snapped by the paparazzi or an article in a tabloid, though. I just think it's hysterical that a bunch of guys (mostly) care that much about what Britney Spears and her hubby are doing.
Exactly. It's one thing to disagree with someone's thoughts on politics, music they like or produce, etc., but to call someone out that you don't know for being bad parents is absurd.
What he said...Wouldn't you think someone would know better...I'm sure there was a bump and being a new mom, you'd rush to the hospital...When I had my first child, I was a little over protective, but that's just your instincts...You can take the girl out of the trailer, but you can't take the trash out of the girl...
Who said the nanny reported it right away? The nanny might have been scared at being fired. I'm with Rocketman95 on this one. Those of us who are parents know things can happen. As parents we love them but accidents happen all the time to kids and sometimes you have to make judgement calls on how serious the accident was. Maybe they didn't get the news right away. Maybe the nanny sugarcoated it. Maybe they were afraid of the publicity and didn't realize the seriousness of accident. And sometime it just a fact that parents don't always make the right choices. I'd hate for a camera crew to film and post all my regrets as a parent, as a husband, as a human. Not trying to get on a high horse, but just saying we all aren't perfect and don't be too quick to judge.

Spears draws scowls with baby ... one more time Tuesday, May 16, 2006 Britney Spears' son Sean Preston rides in the back of the pop star's Mini Cooper. NEW YORK (AP) -- Paparazzi have caught Britney Spears doing something else with her baby that's upsetting people. Front-page photos in both the New York Post and New York Daily News show Spears driving her convertible Mini Cooper with her 8-month-old son Sean Preston in the back, sitting in a baby seat facing frontward. Child safety advocates prefer that kids younger than a year old sit in car seats facing backward. California officials say Spears won't be cited. Each paper had similar headlines playing on the Spears' song "Oops, I Did It Again." Regis Philbin said on "Live With Regis and Kelly" that he thought it was a coincidence to have similar headlines. Ripa had to explain to him that it was the title of a Spears song. One other thing about the photos: They show Spears driving with curlers in her hair.
