    Hey all,

This is an old friend of mine, I used to play baseball with in little league, and he and I actually went to Baylor together at the same time. He went to Klein High, and lived out in the Spring area (Memorial Northwest). Since CoCo Crisp went on the 15 Day DL, I have heard he will be the starting CF for the Sox till Crisp comes back. He was awesome when he was at Baylor, and he was actually a pitcher when I played little league with him. So, keep an eye out for local Houston talent coming up in the major leagues!!

It's cool that you know him and all, but there are tons of Houston products in the bigs and minors alike.

A kid I was friend with in Junior High and High School (Until I moved) is a top prospect in the Astros system (Ryan Mitchell - Drafted in '05). Also, Troy Patton (arguably the Astros' top prospect) is from Tomball.

Jeremy Burnitz is from Conroe. Adam Dunn is from Conroe (New Caney).

There is a board member who is John Patterson's brother in law, I believe.

    Cool thread. :)

don't mean to rain on your parade. but Murphy is staying w/ the pawsox for now. i remember him from baylor as the stros college classic several years back. he'll be in the bigs soon. he also was the first draft pick for Theo Epstein.

I went to Klein and graduated two years after David. We know each other. I am however friends with Josh Barfield. He is a player. Klein has produced a lot of DI athletes and more and more are making the pros. Ashton Youboty will be the first Klein grad picked in the first round of the NFL draft and Robert Killebrew will be a year or two behind. It's a weird feeling seeing all my friends make it.
