I don't have a problem with doing something about illegal immigration as long as we do something to speed up legal immigration.
It's a tricky word. I bet not many people are aware of its correct spelling. Here I have to give credit to bigtexxx. He was actually more considering than I am. At one time he pointed to my incorrect usage (not spelling) of a word in a much more subtle way without making any splash.

Sorry guys something needs to be done because its not fair... I'm talking about the people OUSTIDE the continent of NorthAmerica... What seperates the Mexican people and the other millions of people wanting to come to the usa is...... LOCATION. They aren't any better than someone from India,Australia,Pakistan,Phillippines,China,Greenland,Antartica ( ).. etc etc.. People outside NorthAmerica have to wait 10-30 years before they are approved to get a green card. The mexican people just have to cross a border which is done every hour through underground tunnels and valleys. I have nothing against the Mexican people it's just that they are fighting for something they did wrong.. Which is wrong and heck are Law's state that it is wrong. P.S. My Ant is still waiting to come to America after 17 years....... But you know what she is doing the right thing and waiting. I support putting more law enforcements between USA and Mexico to protect the borders. And kicking out the people who are here illegally... P.S.P.S. I'm a family man and have 3 kids of my own. If an Illegal Immigrant has a child born here on US soil ( That child is a US citizen ) I do not condone seperating the mother and child. Those are extreme situations where I say its ok for the mother to stay.
When anyplace is nice, or superior, or desireable the only thing that keeps it that way is that it becomes too expensive or becomes enforceably prohibited. If 3 or 4 million more people move to Los Angeles, where will the water come from? How about Denver, Las Vegas and Phoenix? The Colorado River doesn't even reach the sea now. And of course, everyone is going to want a car and going to need to heat their homes. Are we are going to have to invade Venezuala and Iran to keep the oil flowing to America instead of China and India? Junkies got to have their fix and will rationalize most anything to get it. And what happens when the 44 million descendents of the current 11 million immigrants become educated and won't do the menial labor that makes them so desirable to the capitalist that seek to exploit them today? Do we let even more immigrants in to clean their toilets? Carrying capacity is the issue, not discrimination. Our exploding population is a sad and probably unstoppable situation but maintaining some immigration laws is at least a finger in the dike. In 20 years the same people that demonstrated for loosening the laws today will be for tightening them. They will want to keep what they've got.
Based on Iraq, I think we could convince Bush to finish what Polk started. The only way we'll solve this is regime change in Mexico. Canada's next...
This **** makes me sick!! The colbert report had it down about this mess today! For being illegals, and being so proud, why don't you keep your mouth shut, and be humble, like the other immigrants do, i.e. asian americans, european americans. They got to have a protest to show how proud they are of their culture, which is great and all, but they are overly abusing the right to free speech, just stay quite and be humble, and work illegally, and make your illegal money off of our tax dollars, and everything will be fine.
