Both can shoot the three ball, but after that the similarities are few and far between. Miller gets the nod in the athleticism department, he can create his own shot, and is an excellent ball handler for his size. Meanwhile Battier is all world defensively (at least in terms of a zone), which I don't think Miller will ever be. ------------------ Lisa, I'd like to buy your rock...
Battier great defender. Can guard the 2,3 or 4 leadership qualities, raises the morale of the players around him great set shot moves extremely well without the ball the epitome of a team player Does all the little things(sets screens, takes charges, dives for loose balls) Mike Miller sweet shot(quick release, perfect form) better at creating his shot quicker, not more athletic neccesarily better dribbler average defender Both players should benefit from the new rules ------------------
I would rather have Battier, though it would be a close call. I doubt Miller would have won ROY in any other year I can think of except for this one, which goes back at least 15 years or more since I have follewed drafts. In fact over the last 5 years, I don't think he would have finished higher than 4th in any balloting. He had good year, but not a typical ROY year.
Mike Miller is a bad boy. I remember in the NCAA tourny last year he came down the court on a fast break and crossed the hell out of a defender and hit a NBA 3pointer. A person that tall is not suppose to be able to do that. ------------------ President of the Steve Francis, Jamal Crawford,Larry Hughes, and Charles Woodson fan club.
