That they pillage fan sites for information Read: http://www.nbadraft.net/profiles/paugasol.htm http://www.nbadraft.net/profiles/geraldwallace.htm Then read the Scouting Report sections here: http://sports.espn.go.com/nbadraft/player?playerId=10009 http://sports.espn.go.com/nbadraft/player?playerId=2803 ------------------ NOTHING BUT .NET CLUTCHCITY.NET
The report on Wallace is the exact same on both sites. That's terrible for such a huge website and station to copy that profile. At least they changed Gasol's just a little bit. ------------------ President of the (the Rockets first pick in the draft) fan club.
Damn! Right down to the ellipses in some cases. LOL! Then again maybe ESPN got "prior written consent" as the saying goes. ------------------ "Light travels faster than sound, so some people appear to be bright until you hear them speak." -- Brian Williams (now Bison Dele) commenting on Isiah Thomas.
After reading all the intelligent posts I wondered if some journalists might 'cheat' on their homework and just use fan sight info and posts. I must admit it's something I would think of Peter Vescey doing more than ESPN. I guess I thought too highly of them. Disillusioned once again! ------------------
It is possible that ESPN had written consent, but also how do we know who originally wrote these reports? They could be copies of copies. And in even more likeliness, whoever made the scouting reports for ESPN(not likely that Andy Katz did this) probably was ignorant on certain players so just became lazy and copied. ------------------ Mmm Queso.
Maybe Draft.net copied ESPN? Doubtful, knowing those weasels at ESPN. ------------------ Never Underestimate the Heart of a Champion
