When Wang left the Mavs, Mark Cuban said it best, "We'll find a way to replace his 4pts and 2rbs." Wang might be top 3 in China, but he's garbage over here.
I have no doubt that Wang is not going to have ANY game time impact for Rockets. But, I STRONGLY hope they can sign him. This is not to utilize him on court, but whenever Chinese National Team competes some less important games (Asian Games this Dec. etc.), send Wang back instead of Yao!!! It is win-win situation.

Have you seen Wang played a min in the past 2 years? Scratch that, have you seen Wang PRACTICED a single minute in the past 2 years? What makes you think he's good NOW, he can contribute to the Rockets NOW? What's the difference between your suggestion and those from others suggested Rockets to get Rodman and Shamp? Wang's return to China is a good thing for himself. Once he proves in CBA and the World Championship, he will get phone calls from NBA teams, maybe Rockets as well. But to suggest he's good without seeing him play is just absurd.
This is the rockets, not Chinese bigman camp. No Wang no Bakteer none of them. I will take Yi Yinlan though.
Haven't read this whole disaster thread, but just in case no one said it, CCTV revenue means ZERO to individual NBA teams. The NBA has a deal with CCTV to broadcast games and the NBA receives 100% of the revenue as a LEAGUE. It is then passed down to ALL teams through the league's revenue sharing policies. It would play no factor in the signing of Wang.
I'm pretty sure there's a joke in there somewhere, but I'm still trying to figure out how to word it.

The difference is clear. Wang is still yong compared to Kamp and Rodman. And he still can play. And he is dirty cheap. Even he does not play much this season, he is better than R.B based on his plays in dallas and miami! And for business, you should try to buy low and sell high..
what do you not understand? wang is not good. rodman and kemp are worthless too why did you even mention them? wang is cheap because he is not good!! there is nothing to buy low and sell high either. you have to have value and wang has none. why don't you just start talking about some NBDL player the rox should sign? ryan bowen sucks too.
