It's not about being heroic it's about being professional. It's about having class and pride.

    Tanking is for p*ssies.

ABSOLUTELY !!! Yao Ming did not even want to be substituted when he twisted his ankle in today's loss to the Sacramento Kings.

Forget the referee stuff. I think you're completely off the deep end. The supposed "worse" treatment from the refs could have started next season. At least Yao can learn to deal with it now instead of waiting.

Do you understand he's missed 22 games this year? What energy is there to save?

I predicted Yao wouldn't continue the torrid pace because teams would start adjusting to him. DUH! You really think you were the only person who saw his efficiency coming down?

About the only comprehensible point you have is about draft position.

I'll say it again, when it comes to Yao's development, the poll would be ~999 to 1 having no regrets about playing Yao major minutes these past 9 games. With Tracy out and the games meaning nothing, this is a great time for Yao to adapt to being the Top Dog on the court. His teammates, the organization and Yao's perception of himself have completely changed. This needs to be milked until at least the last couple of games. You don't take Yao out of the kitchen when it gets hot. He's not some fragile-minded wimp who needs to be protected.

Yao is still learning and getting comfortable with everything he can and needs to do. Let him play, and let him learn, but also let the team learn different ways to get him the ball when playing against different defenses.

Man, I guess you are from China and a huge YOF----and that's ok. However, before you post something, do some real deep thinking. NBA is NBA, Houston Rockets is Houston Rockets, they don't work around Yao all alone. There are business, game, pride. If everything works by the way you said, should all the teams that not qualifying playoff just bench their stars and tank so that they can get a #1 pick in the future, which supposely, should be better for the future? Do you want to watch those "games"? You are a fan of Yao, get it. But please don't go wild---"I don't care about Rox, all I care about is Yao, and Yao". Try to enjoy Yao's play around the TEAM, try to support/respect the team. Your "all about Yao" attitude is probably the most important reason why there are so many YOH...

He gets paid to play basketball. People pay to see him play basketball. He is not injured. Therefore he should play basketball.

how do you expect him to improve while all we want is more losses? There is a huge conflict of interests.

Yao doesn't need to learn how to deal with refs. It is not new to him. NOTHING he does now help him on that aspect. Keep putting up huge #'s AND WINNING games earn him refs' respect. He was doing both in Feb. and he got fair officiating. Next year, when Tmac comes back, we win games and yao will get more respect. But because he played through all these lost games, he will have to start from ground zero all over again.

TO all the people bashing me, none of you have raised a single point to convince me that Yao or the team has earned anything positive by his playing in the past two weeks. I list the things we lost, things that can be verified. All you have given are cheap talks.

If I care about Yao more than Rox, I wouldn't have suggested resting him which will take away any chance that he may get elected for NBA 1st, 2nd, or 3rd team. If I care about Yao only, why do I want him sit out while I paid for NBA league pass. My left toe think better than your brain.

So many newbies talk out of their asses.

Not if when Tmac gets back, we keep winning like we did in Feburary. Keep that up for about 40 games, chance is the change will be permanent. But now those 15 games or so won't count any more when we start next season.

If you had, you didn't express it. what I read was only "he will only improve", "he will learn to dominate DT or TT", etc. It seems to me that Yao is forgetting something, such as how to fighting fronting, after struggling in these losses. Did you see this back then?

cheap talk. Does it get us a better pick? So if we make a strategic decision to sit him and tank the season, we loss all the professionalism and pride? Nonsense. It served Spurs pretty well. Regardless of how great TD was, Spurs didn't strike me as a team with no professionalism or pride.

There is no way Yao should still be out on the court risking injury at this point in the season. When he went down last night, I saw next season flash down the drain before my eyes. It is over for this year, shut Yao down, see what you have in Lampe, Hayes, and the other young guys for the rest of the season!

Yao should be playing balls out! He's slacking right now and fouling like crazy. He might as well make them count and start hacking. Make his presence felt.

but we got THREE wins. Those THREE wins set us back FOUR slots in the draft order. How many more wins do you want to risk?
