75.3% ? ------------------ Charles Barkely on the Raptors defeating the Knicks in Round 1 :"I think it was the Lord. The Lord was with the Raptors. You know the Knicks like to talk so much about religion, but I think the Lord was a Raptor fan."
Those are the top 5, which give you a pretty good idea.... I could list them all, but didn't feel like listing Kwame Brown and Eddy Curry's percentages (yes, there are mocks with Curry and Brown going at #13) After Haywood: Michael Bradley Rodney White Zach Randolph Gerald Wallace Ken Johnson Jason Richardson Also noteworthy is that 70.08% of the mocks have Eddie Griffin going #1. ------------------ NOTHING BUT .NET CLUTCHCITY.NET [This message has been edited by Clutch (edited May 28, 2001).]
Curry and Brown at #13!!!! Clutch, did you post that the mock drafts were not fantasy mock drafts? ------------------ take it one day at a time
Hey Clutch, do you have the results from last year and prior available? It would be interesting to see if anybody came close to picking Rudy's and CD's actual choices. I know that almost every year all the scouts and media are shocked by their picks, but LETS ALL PRAY that they drop this senior stuff and pick the best players available. ------------------
I like the senior stuff... I can see drafting a junior but not any younger than that. I don't want to see projects on the Houston Rockets I want players who can help us get to the playoffs not have to wait and develop a child for 4 years while Stevie and Cat are just waiting for a kid to develop. We need help now...all the picks that are listed on the 1st post I like. We don't need to get younger. Look at the Clippers.. they are always too young and thats why they are always in the NBA lottery(can't keep their young talent). I like Jefferson note that we also will need a defensive SG since I assume we all agree we will lose Shandon Anderson. After watching Kobe light up Daniels who is 6'4 like Cat we will need a big defensive guard either in the draft or free agency... ------------------
The stats on the mocks will be available soon, but as of May 31, 2001 at 1:05pm, these are the averages for the Rockets: 37.54%: Richard Jefferson 10.73%: Loren Woods 7.57%: Joe Johnson 7.26%: Pau Gasol 6.94%: Brendan Haywood 6.31%: Michael Bradley 4.73%: Zach Randolph 3.79%: Rodney White 2.84%: Troy Murphy 2.84%: Gerald Wallace 1.89%: Jason Richardson 1.26%: Ousmanne Cisse 1.26%: Ken Johnson 0.95%: Tyson Chandler 0.95%: Terence Morris 0.63%: Gilbert Arenas 0.63%: Trenton Hassell 6 others players received 0.32% of the vote. ------------------ NOTHING BUT .NET CLUTCHCITY.NET
Damn, I'm in such a minority here, it is dangerous to be a Republican. Shane Battier at #13! ------------------ Time is a great teacher-- only problem is it kills all its pupils.
3 votes for Terence Morris?!?!?! We couldn't possibly be talking about the Terence Morris that was given 3 years to be "The Man" and never stepped up?? The Terence Morris that shot 43% from the field his senior year? The Terence Morris that is projected to go #53 at nbadraft.net and has an NBA comparison of Chris Morris? The Terence Morris that....ah forget it. If you want me to go crazy and start doing stupid things, like rooting for the Mavs, then wasting #13 on Terence Morris would be an excellent first step. ------------------ President of the (the Rockets first pick in the draft) fan club. Rudy took Collier, which would of been there for our 2nd round pick. So anything goes. ------------------ "Break off the block like Maurice Green" --- Steve Francis President of the Moochie Norris fan club.
yes, the same Morris that is very good friends with our superstar, can knock down the open 3, happens to be an excellent defender from the SF position, is 6'9'', and is a senior. 13 is stretching but at 22, or possibly even 18 if the right combination came about, Morris could very likely be wearing pajamas by the end of the night. ------------------ "That's been a lifelong dream of mine." -Vince Carter, after laying it in on a breakaway, much to the Vancouver crowd's displeasure. My question is would you take Morris over Gearld Wallace @ 22? I wouldn't. Morris might make a decent rotation guy for a few years but Wallace has superstar potential. But Morris at 13 would kill me. He's not one of the 13 best players in this draft and surely their will be more talented players at that spot. ------------------ President of the (the Rockets first pick in the draft) fan club.
Ah, superstar potential. Wallace has absolutely NO shot, and is making a horrible move coming out. Rudy requires the 3 to be able to shoot the 3, so you're looking at guy who doesn't have a chance of getting anything but garbage minutes for years. I guarantee Rudy, based on his love for mature players and good shooters, would take Morris. (Of course, the more likely pick is a big man.) ------------------ "That's been a lifelong dream of mine." -Vince Carter, after laying it in on a breakaway, much to the Vancouver crowd's displeasure.
