Deke has at most one year in him so we definitely need to address the issue of Yao's backup. TMac ideally probably will play 37-38 min so you need solid 10 min at 3 from the bench. Bogans can be that man. In perfect scenario, I want Rafer to play 25 min and Head to average 20 min as a backup. That leaves 51 min at 1 and 2 and we desperately need to add two shooters at those positions. JJ can fill 20 min at 2, and we still need a good shooter at 1. And we should also use MLE and second round draft to get someone who can fill 25-30 min at 1/2.

Look, I know the Rox season has been very frustrating and it's human nature to want to take your anger out on someone/something. However, I must strongly advocate non-violence in this case...

positives outweight negatives in relation to vlad rad

postives: decent ball handling and rebounding skills, can hit 3s and wide-open shots, he's younger, more size, healthy, and would cost less

negatives: d is not that great

you should see the game on espn tonight (clips vs suns), if vlad rad is open on the perimeter, the suns are running 2 sometimes 3 defenders at him

Hahahaha. For some reason, that was pretty damn funny. I wouldn't mind getting a couple real gunmen to put that shiny chrome to JVG's shinier dome, if you know what I mean... :p

Can anyone tell me about Cassel's contract with the clippers?
Is there any shot of getting him next season?
    Forgive me, I'm ignorant :p

This is a good choice and VR is within the Rockets abilities to get him. Now, people think VR will sign for a little bit more than MLE after he blew the 42 mil (?) contract last summer.

As for VR's defense, it's always about how the coach uses him in rotations. VR & Troy Murphy type of players with long body, 3 pt shooting are always good compliment to Yao & T-Mac. Anyway, as long as JVG is the coach, we wont get shooter like VR. JVG rather has a scrub to hustle than a guy who put the ball into the basket.

Cassell would be a great two-year rental for the Rox. Not only would it give us a dead-eye shooter and possibly the best mid-range shooter in the game and one of the highest IQ players in the league, but it would also give us another closer and clutch performer as an insurance policy in case T-Mac goes down again for a period of time.

Moreover, Cassell made it known that he wants to play here, and he would be that 'pitbull' type personality in the lockerroom that we need, his presence alone would do wonders.

I think if we want him, we will have Sam I Am next season, it's going to be a matter of whether or not JVG wants him and is willing to expend the MLE for him.
