"Yao shakes his head in disgust. He was open in the middle but was waved off by two different rockets...as they settled for an outside jumper" . ---Portland Announcers on the last rockets play.

I don't think Yao's heart is in this game.

I blame Yao almost (almost) as much as I blame the rest of the Rockets for him not seeing the ball more so far. He is having a LOT of trouble sealing his man off tonight, and he's giving up on it too quickly. He's not being as aggressive as I've gotten used to him being recently; he's not aggressively looking for position, or looking for the ball. Still, though, his teammates aren't looking for him nearly as much as they should be.

Did Bogans decide to have a TMac-like game? Reefer looks worthless as usual.

I don't understand why so many NBA guards have troubles passing the ball to Yao.

That's why guy like Robert HOrry is so invaluable.

I love the way the team are playing. That is the kind of play against a team like Trailblazers. They are looking towards a TANK. :D

Portland's second year player Telfair hasn't had any trouble making rather nice and solid post entry passes to his big men.

edit: apparently this is his second year, my fault.

Actually he's in his second year...

And he is not making "entry passes", he's making set-up passes. He hasn't made a single pass to a big man who is looking to post up... mainly because Portland doesn't have any big men who play like that on offense.

Yao doesn't seem to be listless out there, but his shots are not falling. Credit to Portland defense.

Watching the 1st half was abuse of my eyes. I'm tuning out. This game is a poor excuse for NBA basketball. Luther needs to take that funny release, throw it in the garbage and learn to shoot the ball like an NBA player. Besides not turning the ball over, Rafer and Luther are playing like garbage. The Rockets need to throw Stro in the garbage can.

I'm in with those who says we should lose to get a higher draft pick. But this is hard to stomach. If this is tanking, I suppose I'll tune the Rox out until the season ends. :( They should be ashamed of their effort.

On 2nd thought, I'll watch the first 5 minutes of the 3rs quarter to see if the intensity increases.

First play of the second half = Alston's usual get blocked by the rim attempt.

Edit: Rafer blocked by the rim again. "Wow, that wasn't good...I can see why they aren't a playoff team" ---Portland Announcers.

Who stole our aggressive Yao and replaced him with this lackadasical one?

Yao is playing HORRIBLE.....He acts like he doesn't care.

The team needs him to be himself.....not the Yao from the Phoenix game before the all star game.
