Uhhh... didn't Mad Max get busted with some dope? Barkely never did. Methinks we don't want dopeheads on our roster.
Still tho... Clyde or Chuck - if I had to choose, Clyde. Definitely Clyde. Especially since I want him to coach this team. I could not think of a better man to coach a running game.
Barzilla, from the rebuilding perspective, we need to go with Pippen, Mcdyess or any free agent we could get. The reason is stated in my previous post: even those guys screwed up, in Pimp's case, we got depth and a starting center in Rogers, Wiz, and Cato. Had Clyde stayed and played at the 2, Anderson would stay in Utah-- we won't put Clyde behind Anderson would we? So we got 4 players for Clyde's departure. In fact I don't think saying Clyde's retirement bebefitted the Rcokets insulted him, that may well be his intention to retire: to help the Rockets' future, and that is respectable.
Final, Again, we're talking about apples and oranges. You're talking about the benefits of Drexler's retirement. I can see those as well. I'm talking about why he retired. My whole point is that haven't you noticed what having three superstars has done. One will always be on the outs. Clyde removed himself the classy way by retiring without a fuss. Scottie did it the classless way by insulting Barkley and demanding a trade. Either way the result is the same. ------------------ Rockets When? Rockets When?
