Cavs won, but insane back-and-forth play between LeBron and Wade today. Is this going to be the NBA's new marquee matchup, like Magic and Bird?

Heard about the game. Can someone post a link for a torrent? If not, I'll buy it from Google.video.

i don't think so, they both just had really good games, Shaq was out so Lebron had some easy buckets and Wade had to take over by himself

Don't be dissing Lebron's performance as "he had some easy buckets". Shaq or no Shaq, he turned up a 44 point performance AND a triple double. That ain't no "easy buckets". That is greatness.

I witnessed greatness today in this game. I haven't been so exicted to see two perimeter players go head-to-head since MJ/Dominique days.

That was a GREAT GAME! The 4th quarter made it Great and by itself (the 4th) was one of the greatest display I've seen in the nba all year. I mean in the 4th Both Lebron and Wade were beyond outstanding, each practically scoring for their team right after the other does. Lets just take note of this stat; 4th quarter scoring , Lebron 18 Wade 21. I mean its rare for one guy to score that much for his team in the 4th quarter! And its not like they were meaningless buckets, the game was close throughtout the 4th and within 4 or tied from the 6 minute makr to the 30 sec mark! Everytime one hit a clutch shot the other would answer... un believable display by two players

The odd thing is, even though Leborn had better numbers by a good margin, 44 points 10 assist 12 rebound on 16-25 shooting.... Wade was more impressive to me. I mean that entire quarter, the way he took it to the rim and scored over James, Ilgaskus, Verajao... whoever was simply amazing. It was basically all up to him as the rest of the Heat couldnt do anything right. Perhaps what made it even more suprising and great was the fact that I had seen Wade do this in the 4th quarter twice already this year.

    This game was AWESOME!

If the NBA is smart they will schedule EVERY Heat/Cavs matchup in Primetime next year. What a great way to promote the game!

LeBron and Wade are absolutely THE hightlight matcup in the NBA. What a great performance by both of them! It will be off the charts if these two teams MEET in the NBA Playoffs!

I love Wade...that guy is mature beyond his age, he has an incredible will and determination to win, he made some shots and did some things that were absolutely amazing...that kid is a joy to watch. Obviously, Lebron is a great talent, he's way more talented than Wade is (just his body, his size, his natural skills and overall package), but I can't help but think that Wade gets a lot more out of his body and his skills than Lebron does. Both are a lot of fun to watch, but I like Wade a bit more, although I would build my team around Lebron for obvious reasons.

Did I mention I love Wade County?

well said, i agree completely. though between the two, Wade would be my choice to build around.

IMHO what makes Wade a unique player is the fact that he's 6-4 guy w/ no outside shot. imagine he was a few inches taller and add 3pt range...

...Maybe Flash can improve his 3pt shooting, but...can he become even 1 inch taller? lol

That was absolutely, bar none, one of the greatest back and forth one on one juggernaut matchups I have ever seen. Each time one would come down the court and score, whether routinely or on a spectacular move, the other would come back and top it. I got to where I kept thinking to myself, "One of them has to miss eventually!" but they just kept scoring and dishing out assists. It was awesome. AWESOME TO THE MAX. I very, very rarely watch NBA outside of Rockets games...but I will never miss another Heat/Cavs game again if I can avoid it.

Or Heat / Lakers, the Kobe / Wade matchup has become quiet heated the last few times around. Wade is ultra-competitive and so is Kobe, so it's quiet the matchup as well.

    Then he'd be Lebron James.

The shame about all of this is this is what we imagined Stevie's career arc would be like. He came in with great numbers, played with passion and guts...and never really delivered on the promise. Can you imagine how good we could have been in one of the Rudy + Wink + Cat years without hand-checking on the perimeter? They were almost unstoppable with hand-checking and one of the reasons Stern introduced the zone.

i wouldn't quite agree... IMHO he'd much better than Lebron.

Lebron doesn't posses his mental aspect of the game.
