nba.com still has him at 10.2 rpg., but thanks for the attempt. On a dial-up out here it takes me 5 minutes just to get that info.

He was like 19/8 before the injury, right? Those must be some crazy numbers after he came back from the injury to have bumped the season average all the way up to 22.5/11.5.

That shows Yao's splits for last 5, 10, and 20 games.

His rebounding is dropping just a bit recently. His assists (and turnovers) are on the rise now that the offense is running through him so much and he's getting more comfortable finding teammates when the double/triple team comes.

Overall, very promising. Those turnovers will level off again eventually.

Assuming everyone is healthy, then next season:
    Yao : 26pt/10.5rb/2.5asst/2blk
    Tmac: 27pt/6.5rb/5ast/2stl
Yao and Tmac will have approximately the same FGA (18), Yao will have higher FGM while Tmac will obviously shoot some threes. Rocket's offense will go through Yao first. Yao would have had higher rbs/game, but Tmac will take about 1.5 rb from Yao.

Wouldn't T-Mac be putting up more than 1 ppg over Yao? You have to remember, he was not healthy this season, and Yao has had a lot of games with him out, but I was guessing around ~26-28. I don't think Yao is going to be putting up 26 with T-Mac in the line-up. I would say ~24 with around 11 boards.

Yao will obviously have a higher FG%, while T-Mac will obviously shoot more 3s.

I think the offense will run through Yao for the first quarter and most of the 2nd, then Yao gets a break until mid 3rd quarter. T-Mac finishes out the half and starts the third quarter, and T-Mac finishes out the game (last 2-3 minutes).

T-Mac does a much better job than any of the SG/SF superstars in terms of creating for his teammates, and that's why he'll have the ball in the clutch, but that doesn't mean he'll take the shots.

I drool when I think of a Yao/T-Mac combo next season.

Yao and Tmac together alone could beat at least 3/4 of the NBA teams.

True, but, that won't get us far in the playoffs and we'll never win a title that way. Not to mention, we'd have 2 exhausted superstars by the post-season.

Just because Rafer plays well when the team is doing well does not mean he's a good PG. Rafer needs to either step up or step out. We can't deal with that inconsistency at point-fricking-guard. He absolutely dies in the clutch and when the game gets intense. What top 5 seed in the playoffs doesn't have an extremely talented PG?

Juwan Howard would get us murdered in the playoffs. What top 5 seed in the West doesn't have a beast of a PF? Juwan will make us cry (moreso than he does already).

Keith Bogans is NOT a poor man's Bowen. He is a homeless man's Bowen. He's so inconsistent with his shot it's scary...

Head is a rookie (pretty good one at that)...so I won't say too much season.

    ETC.

I agree with you completely. I'll just add:

Rafer deserves a chance next season as our starting PG. But if we can upgrade at PG without sacrificing upgrades at SG & PF, the Rox should pull the trigger.

At PF, both JH and Stro are worthless as starters. I was dead wrong at the beginning of this season by thinking PF was one of our strengths.

'Nuff said by me on Bogans in another thread. He compares to Bowen like an apple compares to a banana.

Luther has a lot of growing to do in virtually every area.
