Taylor vs Wright should be a good one in June. Sort of a home field advantage for Taylor because the fight is in Memphis. It's on HBO too, not a pay per view.
Forget the WBC,WBA,IBF,WBO, just use the Ring Magazine's champions as the recognized champion, hell, they even have there own belt.
I'm going to be in Vegas I'm thinking really hard about whether to put money on him, he's a +350 underdog right now it's very appealing.
I'm a casual fan- I like the lower weight classes, since you can see a more technical fight that way. Nothing against the power of the upper classes, because I like to see a guy get knocked the F out like every other red-blooded American man.
Nonsense, things were much better in the old days when the mob controlled the belts and did the matchmaking.
Zab Judah has declined all media requests. Mayweather was on it though, along with his promotor Bob Arum, author Bert Sugar and trainer Teddy Atlas.
I've read some great stories about Mayweather just torching Judah after about 4 rounds of sparring a few years ago. No reason to belive this would be much different.
The story I'm referring to, posted in another forum: "The story is completely true. When I went to Floyd's private sparring sessions (have pics from it) here in Vegas for the Mitchell fight, The guy who runs the gym ( he's the one that got me in btw) was telling me all about it. Zab was running his mouth big time and Floyd called him out. During the sparring session Zab was able to keep up the pace at first but then Floyd just turned it on just started putting whooping on Judah. Roger was yelling at Joel telling him to get in there and stop it. Joel refused so Roger had to jump in and physically pull Floyd off of Zab. Then afterwards, one of Floyd sparring partners was talking **** to Judah and that escalated into a fist fight right there in the gym. J Prince was there and all of his crew were all clowning Zab which pissed him off even more. He left the gym disgusted while being laughed at. That is why Zab refuses to talk about the sparring between him and Floyd. 100% true story." Reading it again it may not be true as Floyd's entourage of punks likes to float this kind of stuff.
I heard that story 2. even floyds uncle mention this when he was ask about this fight from another message board.
Who is going to watch Judah/Mayweather tonight? I am starting to feel maybe Zab has a probable chance to win. At least, I don't think Mayweather would knock out Zab anymore. Mayweather will probably win by decision, while Zab makes a good enough impression that he doesn't have to start fighting on ESPN2.
PPV. Mayweather will knock him out in the 7th. I'm more interested to see how Juan Diaz fairs against Cotto's younger brother. Both are undefeated.
Have you seen Cotto's fight before? I have never seen any of his fights. Just looking at the record, it seems Juan Diaz has had the better opponents, and he is also younger. I am guessing he will remain undefeated after tonight.
