They got the Rockets at 14 pickin some guy I do not know. They got Shane Battier at 4 picked by Vancouver/Memphis.

Gadzuric is good but he wont go that early. But this is rudy and I was so shocked when Collier went at 15. I thought he would go like late first round.

That mock draft actually seemed reasonable. Any one pick I might have seen going up/down 5, but on the whole, no pick seemed terribly out of place.

Don't know much about Gadzuric. He'd be a center, I take it? It's hard to tell these days. Seems like a 7 footer is as likely to be SF now as center. [IMG]

So what's the deal with Vancouver's pick this year? Doesn't the "Memphis Express" owe its pick to Detroit? And I think it has to be a pretty decent pick, at least top 20-ish.

Can we step in with our picks (13, 21, 22 [approximations]) and, maybe, the Chicago 1st rounder or 2nd rounders (due over the next 3 years) for that high draft pick? Because if they have to yield a pick, best to wind up with some kind of pick than give up something that good.

Of course, Vancouver could also yield Shareef for our picks (and Walt and Los), and we could either keep or trade Reef.

I know Jefferson would be a great pick for us at #13 but we might want some experience. Rudy was always pretty high on Reef, from what I understand.

God, here I go, BS speculation, and months to go before the draft.

Gadzuric is a good player. His knock is injuries. He has very bad knees (and feet?) which is a good reason why he doesn't block many shots. Pretty athletic, shows a lot of heart. Good board man, and scorer, physically strong. He's a JR. I could see RT/CD liking him.

ROXTXIA-The picks go in this giant circle. We owe Vancouver (Francis) who owes Detroit (Thorpe?), who owes us (Turkcan). We have to give them a pick within 2 of our own, or our own, this year if we make the playoffs, since it's pretty assured we won't, we don't have to give up our pick. The rest of the stipulations are unclear, believed to revolve around the #15 pick. Detroit still has 2-3 years to give up their pick, and I believe it doesn't have to be their own.

I can't even put into words how big a mistake it would be to pick Gadzuric over Ken Johnson.

All you need to know about this draft preview is that the author thinks that Jason Williams is overrated.

Can someone tell me why the hell Chicago would take Yao Ming?

They already have Brand and Fizer.

It seems the obvious choice would be Jason Williams.

Well, Ming is a 5 and Brand and Fizer are both better suited to be 4s. Also, JWill has indicated he's not leaving Duke. Do you all think otherwise?

Let's take Brand off their hands, okay?

I can't see Eddy Curry lasting until the fifth pick either.

Shane Battier another Rick Fox?! C'mon. Fox maybe had a few games like virtually every one of Battier's games.

I forgot all about Williams not coming out. I guess Duke winning the championship might have an impact on whether he stays or goes. Last I heard he did say he was staying.

I think the Bulls need someone other than a 4 or 5.

I also think Curry is a better prospect than Ming. Ming looks like the second coming of Shawn Bradley to me.

Ming is much more athletic than Shawn Bradley. He also has a good outside shot unlike Bradley, and is young with a big upside.Ming needs to get physically stronger before he can play in the NBA.

Battier at 4? No way, especially not before Griffin and Curry. I think Ken Johnson and Brenden Haywood would both be better picks than Gradzuric. If you look a little further down the draft you see we are predicted with 2 more picks one being Richard Jefferson. He would be a great pick that low because of his reboubding and defense at the three. But isn't his offense a little suspect?

Being a Bruins liker , Gadzuric has great skills under the basket both on Defense and Offense , His free throw shooting is horrible though . He can run , but look at the UCLA players who have received hype the last 5 years and basically all have been busts except maybe Baron Davis .

    Jason Williams is overrated......

I don't particulary like Gadzuric. He's a lefty who is limited offensively, not a great shotblocker, and a decent rebounder. Not a bad player, but not worthy of the 13th pick.

Drafting Duke players scares me. Please, Rudy, no Duke players. Instant flops. [IMG]

... with the exception of Grant Hill
