How about Desmond Mason for draft pick + JH or SW.
Desmond Mason's stat really looking bad this year in NO, I don't know why.
I think he can really help us out alot, he is athletic, good defensive player and have a nice offense also.
    What do you guys think

Physically, he's the type of player we should be looking for. But he's very limited offensively.

Yeah, another guy that can't shoot, and let's give up or pick and a player.

I don't think the Hornets will give up Mason, especially if they stay in OKC.

He's a huge fan favorite, and probably the reason they made the trade in the first place....to put some OSU cowboy fans in the seats.

At the least he is a nice guy. My firend went to high school with him in Waxahachie. Desmond invited him to Milwaukee and I went too. He gave us pretty much courtside seats and took us out to a bar with most of the team after the game.

Not a good fit for us though. We need perimeter guys that can consistently knock down shots

if NO is dumb enough to take on JH's contract and give us pick!! Of course you do it, even if it's a 2nd rounder.

I don't agree with that. Mason is a good defender and a really good post scorer. Bogans hasn't shown me much. That being said, Mason is a bad fit in Houston. We need a shooter at the 2. Mason has the ugliest jump shot in the NBA, except for maybe Chuck Hayes.

If you want a guy like Desmond Mason you might as well take a look at Hassan Adams from Arizona. Their games and strengths are practically identical and there's a slight possibility he might fall to the second round.

At one point I would be all over wanting to get Mason here. But for some reason I have cooled on him as of late.

We certainly could use his athleticism, toughness and defense on the perimeter. But yeah, his shooting is suspect. Mason might be on my list of swingmen, but it would be behind guys like Childress or Mo Peterson.

I live in New Orleans, I've seen a bunch of Hornets games - trust me, the Rox don't want Mason. He's hit one three-pointer all season. One.
