I don't know if staying will solve his biggest problem, his lack of height. As for comparisons, from the first time I saw him play, I thought of Cuttino Mobley. Same positives & same negatives.

I think staying for a couple more years would only hurt him with the draft. His shortcommings will be come more obvious. At least now there is, as with most underclassmen, an almost euphoric optimism that with so much time to develop, he will become a great player.

I find it ironic that my first post would be one regarding my namesake...

I always thought Forte's biggest flaw was his lack of intensity. But that could also be mistaken for his even keel demeanor.

Regardless, I don't believe he is that refined of a player...yet. Given a couple more years in college, who knows. He has enough talent to be a star in the NBA.
But we also said that about Derrick Cheivous.

Alot of times college players don't get to display their talent at the college level, like a Vince Carter. Forte has stated that he is frustrated by the way college defenses play him, and he thinks he would be more successful at the pro level. Though I'm unimpressed with him, who knows?
