I think despite minor mistakes Charles played well tonight, he shot well, rebounded well, the running offense that originated from him ran beautifully in the first half tonight. He made two huge defensive stops by drawing travelling down the stretch, He also single handedly destroyed the Suns front court in the fourth quarter. One thing that I don't like him to do is to take many 3s, statistically this game he got 1-3, that's fine with me, but he needs to change the way he thinks. He usually take shots off his own offensive boards, and he did it tongiht, fired the third 3 and missed. I have no prob with him shooting 3s occasionally, he just needs to change his habbit.

The missing free throws and last minute foul are fine with me, I lost the clue on that loose ball foul as to wheather Longley loose ball fouled CB first or CB had a pushoff foul. One big factor we need to count in is that Rudy played CB way too long, CB is 37 years old and played 48 minutes, that is way too long. Fatigue makes players misjudge things, especially at his age. Well, just another coaching mistake the Rockets need to suffer.

yeah he played alot. But we had no choice, its either a tired 37 year old that can still play or a rookie that I dont like that much named Kenny Thomas.

Kenny Thomas can become a good player but he is lazy so he wont become a good player.

Hahaha, Kenny is lazy? I don't know about that, but I think he is not mentally prepared for the NBA yet, he showed awesome, and I mean awesome moves which are hard to see among rookies, his problem is bad finishing and clanging free throws, that is due to lack of confidence. I think he would be a lot better given more playing time.

Kenny is lazy. He does have nice moves but it will be nicer to make the shot. [IMG]

I dont want him to get playing time that much right now. But we have no choice, Massenburg is injured.

Ohh something i just found out is the the new nfl team for Houston has already drafted their Quarterback!!! Its true , its top secret rumors i find. But I cant tell u guys, I will give you a hint.

Chuck had a good game. Despite blowing it in the 2nd OT, he had an awesome game.

He scored the first 9 of 11 Houston points in the 1st OT, which eventually sent it to 2nd OT.

Sure he made a stupid move or two (We don't want you to shoot threes!!!!), but all in all, a good game.

    FF-
I think that is our major weakness right now - lack of depth at PF & C. At the end of the game Chuck looked beat & Cato wasn't as energetic either. How close is T-Mass to playing (I think he'll help). I think RT was forced to bring Cato & CB in too early when phoenix made their run.
Team looked great, just need to work on free throws & TO's.

Charles, shooting 3's is OK, but not at crunch time, please!!! [IMG]

Other than that, he had an awesome game. I very much appreciate his willingness to run the floor with the younger legs, and that he significantly reduces his post-up game. It's Chuck's humbleness and ability to adapt to news systems that's worth respected.

    Go! Chuck!!!

    Good points...

I think T-Mass is out with a groin injury... A real one. I'd love to see him in there mixing it up, but the injury's real... Dunno when he'll be off.

In the meantime, Cato gets minutes - and points. I've been trying to convince everyone that Kelvin is a solid scorer, but nobody seems to believe me... Of course, a single night won't do the trick. But hey, Hakeem's out for another 5 weeks, so Kelvin's got time...

Blocks and points, AND (I'll try hard to convinve you) steals - not to mention rebounds. Kelvin is the next Hakeem...

    Treeman-
    Thanks for info on T-mass.

I also agree with you on Cato, seeing him running the court is an awesome sight. He is a great finisher, always goes up strong! His post up game will only get better watching Dream, and yeah he will be (is) a good one! I hope to say great one some day, but for now good sounds perfect for a guy who hasn't saw significant minutes since college.

    4Chuck:

He's not a great finisher yet... that's one of the areas he has to develop. But... He's coming along nicely. This is a player that will develop well in the long term.

Moreover, I'm glad the Rox signed him to a long-term contract because he has a good attitude. Even in the face of a stupid and outrageous call, he maintains an even demeanor. This is an excellent quality.

He has character. And he gets into foul trouble alot... and doesn't lose his cool. This is a good person.

Character is the main qualifier our Rox should be looking at - as they always have.

Wizard passes, Carlos passes with flying colors... I'm still worried about Stevie. So far he passes, but.. there's a little belligerence there - which might be a good thing for a PG...

Those psychological factors count for more than you'd expect.

    They make and break teams.

    Guarantee.

... now only if Cato will work on the sweet 15-18 foot jumper that Hakeem has.

What I like about him, except his game, is his look. Do you guys notice the anger in his eyes? That's the kind of anger that I saw in the eyes of Michael Jordan and Hakeem years back. That's a horror to your opponents. And ... that's GOOD!

The good thing is that that anger is KEPT INSIDE. Most of the time... It's only released on the court - which is probably why he usually ends up with two early fouls...

But what can you expect from a 7-footer...

We expect him to challenge every shot. We expect him to be able to swat a shot by Gary Payton - which he can do.

Every man shorter than 6'11" is his b**** - his food. He has to make that known to them in every way possible (D)...

He's filling in for Hakeem Olajuwan.

    Failure is NOT an option.

I'd say that the pressure on Kelvin is adequate...
