What year is Dunleavy? What strengths of his are most likely to transfer to the NBA level? ------------------
Mark my words, Dunleavy Jr. will be a solid NBA player. The guy is 6-10, but can play all three small positions. He's like the next Nowitski. In just his sophomore year at Duke, he is draining threes from NBA range on a consistent basis. The guy probably had as much NBA smarts as a junior high school player than most NBA rookies do now, seeing how his father has been affiliated with the NBA every day of Junior's life. And at Duke, the guy is learning class and how to win on a consistent basis. Of course, he won't be out of school until 2003. ------------------ Houston Astros - 2001 World Series Champions
Great observation, BlueDevil. I never thought about Nowitski, but that's a good observation. (Wow, Jr's 6-10?!) I was really impressed, watching them play Wake Sat., to see Dunleavy Jr. put the ball on the floor and get to the rim a couple of times. He looked real good doing it. On another note, just imagine how my cousin may have felt watching that game: Wake alumnus, Duke law student presently . ------------------
Kind of like a poor man's Larry Bird. A very poor man's bird ------------------ Never Underestimate the Heart of a Champion
The only good thing about Dunleavy is that he doesn't have a wrinkley head like Battier. ------------------ Poopy!
I'm glad you noticed too! What's with that guys feckin' HEAD!!!! HEAD!!!!!!! ------------------ C-son
I just saw where Dunlevy Jr. was rated higher than Battier at Duke. I haven't seen any Duke games this year but I was under the impression that Battier was a top 10 pick. I thought they are both SF's is Dunlevy Jr comming out this year? ------------------
I would bet that Dunleavy Jr. stays at least 3 years, probably 4. Now in terms of potential, Jr. is THE TRUTH. He's 6-8 6-9, handles and passes like a guard, can shoot the deep ball or slash to the basket, solid rebounder and defender, very good athlete. He reminds me of a combination of Brent Barry and Mike Miller. Only knock is, of course, he needs to gain weight/get stronger. Would fit in WONDERFULLY with the Rocks. ------------------
I have no idea what is up with his head, but it sure bothers me. That is just not natural! ------------------ Poopy!
rm95, what are you trying to say? everyone else, if the Rockets could draft Battier would you play him before Shandon at the #3? ------------------
wait, I guess there aren't dumb questions just dumb people. Here's hoping a Carlos + a pick gets us closer to Battier! ------------------
The loss last night really broke my heart. ------------------ www.swirve.com...The reason Al Gore invented the internet.
Im thinking of applying to Duke rm95, so BACK OFF. ------------------ The next time I have meat and mashed potatoes, I think I'll put a very large blob of potatoes on my plate with just a little piece of meat. And if someone asks me why i didn't get more meat, ill just say, "Oh, you mean this?" and pull out a big piece of meat from inside the blob of potatoes, where ive hidden it. Good magic trick, huh?
I hate Duke too! I hate Battier, Dunleavy, Williams, Boozer (although I used to like him), and especially Ksychewiseldkapetjre[wagtrrht-- whatever his name is. I kinda like Chris Duhon, but undoubtedly i will start hating him soon too. ------------------
