BC beat Villanova handily today in the Conference quarterfinals. Since nobody but a HUGE hoops junkie or a BC fan would understand the significance of this, here it is: In 1997 Michael Bradley committed to BC. He rescinded his commitment when two of his buddies were denied admission after the athletics department recruited them. This caused our coach (Ohio State's Jim O'Brien) and Scoonie Penn to bolt. That team went to the Final 4 in 99. Bradley ended up going to Villanova, vowing that "that's the end of BC basketball." After we swept the regular season series, Bradley says "if they'd had me, they wouldn't have had to wait so long." March 8, 2001. BC burts Villanova's pathetic bubble in a blowout game in the Big East Quarterfinals. Bradley, probably a 2nd team All-American, scores only 14 points, while Troy Bell rips Villanova for 25. HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH! Second seed here we come... Ohio State and Villanova... enjoy watching your bubbles burst! ------------------ Boston College - Big East -East Division Regular Season Champs Worst to First in 2001!
