Donyell Marshall being compared to Dr. J? Glenn Robinson the next Larry Bird?
This is hilarious. Some players are listed out of position. At least none of those centers were compared to anybody good.

I wonder how did Montross felt being compared to John Koncak.

HIs career is doomed to mediocrity from day one

Nobody EVER makes decent player comparison predictions. First off... If a NCAA player looks even remotely similiar to an NBA counterpart its an AUTOMATIC comparison. ESPN compares Noah to Varejeo primarily because their hairstyles are long. Another rule is black players are almost always compared to blacks, and whites almost always to white. I guess that coincides with the similar looks rule but come on. Another rule is the draft must compare someone to Bird or Jordan. Always. Nobody thinks outside the damn box when doing these things. I don't think anyone even watches the NCAA guys play unless they make noise in the tourney.

Kinda funny how Glenn Robinson was compared to Bird just like Morrison is, yet, I think Morrison's best comparison is Glenn Robinson.

Donyell Marshall the next Dr. J?

Brian Grant and Googs is a pretty good comparison, Eddie Jones and Kendall Gill are similar players as well.

I thought the Grant Hill/Scottie Pippen comparison was apt.

What studley 5s, Juwann as Karl, 3s who became 4s, and an MIA resembling Mad Max. Look how much more scientific the 'modern' draft is (sic)!

dupree certainly wouldn't be embarassed after looking at that. i think it was pretty good except for the bird and doc thing, but hey you can't get them all right. from what i remember of glenn at purdue he didn't show the kind of all around game or vision that bird had. i remember him most for that INSANE midrange game. i agree with the person who says adam is looking like another big dog.

    :D :D :D :D :D

If Karl sees this, he will shoot himself.

One was physically tough, dirty presence, impact of a player.

While the other is soft-as-cotton-candy, shying-away-from-impact/contact player.

As much as I HATE Karl Malone, he would be the PERFECT kind of PF to play alongside of Yao Ming, while Juwan is one of the worst options out there.

who watched juwan howard in college and thought karl malone? glenn robinson and bird, I can see that when he came out.

jason kidd and kevin johnson is pretty out there also, even coming out. I do remember that kj wasn't much of a shooter coming out of college, but he was definitely one in 1994.

grant and googs? grant is a traditional 4 while googs was more of a 3, he could handle and shoot. if googs reached the level people thought he could, he would have been nowitzki before nowitzki.

another tom penders tweener. used to play with those guys at the gym, tyler, rencher, burditt, wingfield, good times man.

I thought the Grant Hill/Scottie Pippen comparison and the Jason Kidd/Kevin Johnson comparisons were both fair. Actually, there were probably lots of fair comparisons like Montross and Koncac, we just don't really remember anything about either of the players to say for certain. :D

Was the 1994 draft really that bad? That's almost as bad as '86...

I think I can pretty safely say that Yinka Dare is the worst basketball player that ever lived and not get much of an argument from anybody...

Yeah, but didn't Koncak sign one of the first ridiculous contracts? It would have been okay by me to be Koncak-- not my first choice mind you -- but okay by me.
