    Poor man's Mike james.

Really really poor man. Like a poor man who would take out a bank loan to go to McDs.

Haha, at least he made his shots tonight. I'd rather have that than 7 assists but .333 FG%.

Aaron Williams sure would look good on this team. Does anyone doubt that he would be pulling down 10 boards per game for us? Seems like every team we play has some PF coming off the bench who's better than Juwan.

ppl think just cause of yao's size he should completely dominate the game. to be that tall with that type of weight, it's not that easy for him to be agile and atheletic. what other guy at his size has been as good as him? I think the best is yet to still come out of Yao.

T-mac, i believe we've already seen him at his best. now only if he relies less on his shots and drives in more.......

overall damn good game. forget all you alston haters! i love the guy! we wouldnt get rid of mike james for no reason. obviously there was a problem. him and t-mac didnt get along. alston may make a few more turnovers, but he's a better PG.

i'm optimistic bout next season. if we get a shooter, and if stro's reaction time and decision making improves, i like our chances. but probably still wont be good enough to win the finals. we'll need to make more moves.

Consistency is the rule: one game a season does not make. It is really sad that one of the high points of the season is beating the NO/OC Hornets by one point. That is a measure of how far this team has slid down the totem pole. Yes, Alston had a good game, and I am happy for him and the team. If he can play like this most nights, I will change my opinion about him.

The bottomline, I agree with Clutch; "this is BAD team, real bad," and it is in need of a MAJOR OVERHAUL. If JVG didn't think the talent was here last year, he must clearly see that there is even less talent this year. If the Rockets "stand pat, because a healthly Ming and TMac is all that is missing to take this team to the playoffs," as many posters suggest, we will have to suffer through another painful season to let reality set it. That is totally unnecessary. This Draft and offseason are CRITICAL.

I can not agree with you, Clutch highness. I always think there is one reason that "tanking" is not acceptable: Yao is healthy and playing. Tanking usually happens when the superstar is hurt or is going to be shipped out off season. You want your superstar to have the mind set like "I can beat the world!", and you don't want him to be like "I am not good enough to win alone, let's wait for next season". By tanking, you are cultivating a "losing culture". I hate JVG's offense, but I do like his mind set.

You are closer than me :) . Actually he is at 5. After LBJ, Darko, Carmelo and Chris Bosh.

Agree. "losing culture' just like corruption seeds to be developed.

everybody talks about "winning culture" and "lossing culture". It is becoming a fashion. But are people putting enough thoughts in it or just repeating what they heard and what they think sound nice?

The thing is, most likely, we are gonna lose majority of the games from now to season end, whether we tank or not. And it is almost certain we will not make the playoff. How does trying hard and still keeping lossing games help Yao and the team build "winning culture"?

If you tank here, at least you can talk yourself into believing "we lost these games not because we could not win but because we chose not to in order to get a better pick." Going forward, that feels a lot better than thinking "we tried our best, and still was proven to be a .200 team without Tmac".

I am not saying Yao is not good enough to win games without Tmac, but the supporting cast we have simply don't help him enough.
