My theory is that Krause feels that if Mihm was on the Bulls than that would have scared off the prospects of Tim Duncan. Even if Krause doesn't get Duncan, he will get a center as good or better than Mihm in next year's draft. I might be way off base but this is my theory and I'm sticking to it until I hear something better [IMG]

I would think that Duncan would like to have had someone (anyone) like Mihm playing the center position since they have virtually no one under contract at this point in time. With Mihm at Center, Duncan could play PF.

Can't see any connection between the Mihm deal and Duncan. 1) Duncan is from the Caribbean and HATES the cold. 2) It has been well documented that there is a very solid friendship between Doc Rivers & Duncan. Chicago is a VERY distant 3rd behind the Spurs and Magic (if they rank at all).

Chicago doesn't rank. I think Krause is going to call, but we don't expect to see him even for a visit.

Jamal Crawford certainly seems talented but to pass up trade Mihm for him, in my opinion seems like a mistake. Duncan has no thoughts towards going to Chicago, although Krause must think so. Crazy, Crazy trade. I thought there was a deal that was imminent behind it when it happened. Still don't understand why in the hell they think Fizer is a 3. Krause has just friggin lost it! Fizer is awesome, but is a small 4, a definite 4, no questions. Even Tim Floyd seems to be under the spell. I still think Fizer will go straight up for Miles at some point during this offseason.

    Clips (small forwards)
    Odom, Maggette, Miles (CRAAAAAAAAAZYYYYYY)

    Bulls (Power forwards)
    Brand, Fizer

Something has to happen. They will at some point look up and realize they can mutually help each other. Although it will be the Bulls crying for it to happen and the Bulls crying in their beer if it doesn't.

Good point Cauc, and I think the Clips have the bulls by the nuts in this one, Odom can play SG or even PG if they want him to and Miles and Maggette will need time to become good NBA players, they could conceivable go through this season with all 3 of their SF's...

But there's no way the bulls can go with Brand and Fizer playing 24 minutes each at the 4... total madness!! I know Krause was mad because the deal between the clips/magic meant he wouldn't get Miles, but breaking it up by taking Fizer is stupid!!

If the clips are smart they won't go for a straight up trade Miles for Fizer, they'll make the bulls give them more!

I think that Miles will stay in LA. He's pretty happy there with former Chicago AAU teammates Q. Richardson and Corey Maggette on the team. There's a huge article on Miles in the LA Times today and he's pretty happy to be in LA.

Well good!!! I hope Miles stays in LA and the Bulls get nobody in the FA market of significance and have another terrible season... and won't we ALL be SOOO disappointed??

I don't feel sorry for Mihm though, at least he got to a team that MAY have a winning season....

Rest assured....it seems Duncan will end up in Orlando. I would bet the ranch on it now, seeing as Grant Hill was quoted as saying his signing with the Magic is "...not 100 percent yet, but very close. I wish the Pistons well, I really do."

    Look out East.....Orlando is back!

My best guess at what Krause was thinking with Fizer and Crawford is that he was going to pick the best available players, regardless of position. Fizer probably was the best guy left on board. Crawford I don't know about, but Krause likes to try to out-think everyone else. I imagine they will sort out the team properly with trades, though I wouldn't be too surprised if those two picks weren't traded.

the reason why mihm was traded was because chicago knew they were getting J.oneal..that was a good move because mihm sucks..he will just be another scrub center in the league..and as far as fizer being a rocket..no chance!..how is fizer gonna be a rocket???

    BullsFan,

Jermaine has already said that he wasn't interested in playing center all of the time and that is the spot that the Bulls are weak at.

Jermaine, Elton and Fizer are all young and could handle plenty of minutes. Too bad that the PF spot is where all three belong and really want to be.

The Bulls move was to spite the alleged back door deal between the Clips and Magic (Fizer to Clips/Miles to Magic). Fizer is a better player than Mihm, but Mihm would have been content to get his points from the outside and off missed post ups by Brand and to play solid "D". Add Eddie Jones to this mix and a solid #7 pick and they would have had real potential. J. O'neil wants to play PF. I think the Bulls blew it.

I think the whole clips/bulls fiasco hurt our chances of getting miller/johnson. I think orl. reached on him at #5 and they really wanted fizer to have a front line of duncan/hill/fizer. Now what they have is Miller at the backup 3 spot, which is absurd for a top 5 pick.
Of course , moiso was still around.

Spot on! Mihm and Brand would've complemented each other so nicely!! The bulls could've still taken Crawford at 7 for their PG - and if they were to secure EJ then maybe McGrady may have been interested? Could've been a nice team....

Why would they play McGrady at the 1. It would seriously underuse his talents. He is a perfect 3. You cant just put him at the 1 cause you drafted the player with the most talent in FIzer but have no where to play him. Besides, I think you guys would be really good with Crawford, Jones, McGrady, Brand, and Kelvin Cato (when you get him from us for Fizer--wouldnt that be better?). And you'd have an improving bench too.

The bigger and more important question is, why in the world did the Bulls draft Jake Voskhul? I thought for sure he was straight to the CBA or Europe or something.

Mcgrady is not a one. He may be able to spot a few minutes there, but he is a 3/2. Not a one.
