Add Ike Hilliard and Sam Cowart to the Texans FA Watch List

Ahh, the Texans have the right idea when it comes to the O-Line. They do the same thing over and over, and expect different results.

 

Per David Dalati, Hilliard re-upped with the Bucs.

i played receiver in high school. but i'm holding out until they draft VY.

 

We offered Ike a contract better than what he received with Tampa...thankfully, he remained a Buc.

 

add: Offensive tackle Tom Ashworth picked up new suitors recently in the Houston Texans and New Orleans Saints.

When free agency began, Ashworth took three visits -- to the Jets, Buccaneers, and Dolphins. Late this week, the Texans and Saints increased their interest, although no visits are scheduled.

Meanwhile, the Patriots have kept open the possibility of bringing Ashworth back.

Former Miami center/guard Seth McKinney, younger brother of guard Steve McKinney, visits the Texans today. They're bringing in New England guard Stephen Neal on Wednesday after Kubiak returns from the University of Texas pro day in Austin.

Hopefully we can get one of these guys. It would be cool to have the McKinney brothers playing next to each other on the line, and Seth is better then Steve.

 

Well, if The Replacements has taught me nothing else, it's that having brother offensive linemen on the team increases their ability three-fold.

Fortunately, it also taught me that having your team dance and sing "I'm Still Alive" in a jail cell solves ALL your team's problems.

 

On 610am just now, Rich said that the Texans are on the verge of signing Sam Cowart to be their middle linebacker. Anybody seen any reports on this?

 

no..but i heard the report. that would be a decent pick up.

 

Seth McKinney just re-signed with the Dolphins for 2 years, $5 million. I hope we bring in SOMEONE.

 

Seth McKinney is worse than his brother, I'm not upset about that.
