Well, My grandma tells me she was opening up the oven door and it magically falls off. So, I get home thinking its simple to put back on, but turns out it is not. Can anyone please, please, please offer some suggestions. The hinges are weird or maybe im just missing a piece? Maybe Im just a r****d making this harder than it really is? Please advise?
wtf man. this came out of nowwhere. this soooo damn obscure. um, how old is the oven? and, gas or electric? actually, i have no clue how to fix it.
Well, ummm, its not every day your "Oven door" falls off guys?? Come on now..... Its gas, and its got your typical pull the handle type door and it comes down and holds.... anyone, anyone
Check the springs. It happened to my mom's dishwasher at home, the springs broke so every time she opened it, the door would come crashing down instead of it easing down. If it is an old door, I wouldn't be suprised at all if the hinges just broke when the door came down. As far as fixing it, I have no idea.
He's coming on Tuesday, and a $80 dollar "put it back on fee" is coming with him. I have till Wed to do it myself and cancel. The prices goes up if there is anything actually broken.
Does one really need a door on their oven? In the winter time it provides great heat. In the summer time, well its kinda chilly right now.
No, they don't. I slide the door on one arm, and it doesn't stay. It seems like i have to twist or do something else to make it stay. Its crazy.
Just duct tape some cardboard to the oven when you want to use it. As long as the fire doesn't directly touch the cardboard, you should be fine...
Step 8: http://www.tmio.com/downloads/Install_Manual-20051102.pdf I've never done this so I don't know if this is a typical door. But I bet if you keep googleing, you'll find the secret.
Nobody thought about this. tim562 did say it was his grandmother's, and you know how those grandmas love those old appliances. So tim, was it the right door or the left door that fell off?
With all due respect, Mr. tim, are you sure she's not trying to tell you she's got a bun in the oven? There have been records broken lately about pregnant grandmas lately, you know? 57-year-old great-grandma gives birth to twins 62-year-old California woman gives birth to 12th
