The Astros' radio commercials are typically well below par and irritating. Repeating the same poorly written crap, over and over. Blech. HOWEVER, it seems this year, in every one of their cheesy spots, they are constantly referring to the franchise as "your National League Champion Houston Astros." Oh, yeah. I think I'll be able to stomach these lame-assed commercials all year long as long as they keep repeating that!! Our National League Champion Houston Astros!!! ...how sweet it still is.
try living in Chicago as an Astro fan and having to hear World Series Champion Chicago White Sox all the freaking time... commercials on tv, radio, interviews, etc. I would much rather hear National League Champion Houston Astros.
It's better than hearing wild card champs whatever that play on words means but I will not be satisfied till I hear World Series Champs
Your western conference champions, Houston Rockets. Your AFC champions, Houston Texans. Your Conference USA champions, Houston Cougars. I was going to say Big 12 Champions, Texas Longhorns... But they're your BCS National Champions, Texas Longhorns.
What did get old was last years..... "WILD CARD CHAMPION HOUSTON ASTROS" Come on. You should never attach Champion to Wild Card.
"Here's the 2-0 pitch to Berkman.....swinging...and there's a drive to left field.....Dunn is backing up...it's back.....back....aaaaaaaand......WHOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAA!!!!!!!! That ball looked like it has eyes on it!!!!!" Uh....Milo? Can you perhaps tell us what just happened? Sincerely, Everyone Listening to the Game on the Radio
Second best football season in Texas last year. So, RM95's season went: 1) National championship for his longtime favorite team, UT Longhorns. 2) I-AA semifinalist for his alma mater. 3) He began speaking in third-person. That jealousy doesn't look good on you. Looking back on my 2005 football season as a fan will never get old.
The commercial with Milo's call of Burke's HR vs Atlanta will never get old. I STILL get major chills every time I hear it. IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIt's gone IIIIIIIIt's gone IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIt's gone
