    Good Lord, people are too freaking sensitive these days. I was "scolded" for using the term "Rule of Thumb" the other day... it was straight out of Boondock Saints.

    Hardly a cultural thing, RM95. Some poster jokingly made a reference to the keyword "r****ded" not long ago in a D&D thread with a picture of mentally challenged kid rushing towards a finishing line in a special olympic game. The kid was white. I was equally offended.

    "Rule of Thumb" deals with past rules about women's equality. You used to be able to hit your wife with a switch as long as it wasn't thicker than your thumb. Hence the "rule."
