This is just a rumor from SI, but with the turmoil in NY, I wouldn't be surprised.....

Steve Francis has been awful since the trade to the Knicks, and Larry Brown announced yesterday he will banish him to the bench once Quentin Richardson returns from a sprained thumb, perhaps as soon as tonight against the Raptors. -- New York Post

Poor steve. Dude must be depressed right about now. Since getting off to the great start in Orlando and the dumba$$ GM trading Mobley for basically nothing, his career has gone down the drain. I hope he can get traded to a better situation (I wouldn't mind seing him in a Rockets jersey again, but will probably never happen). Free Stevie!

Poor Steve what the hell are you talking about this guy has a max contract in the nba who can possibly feel for him? Not me!

Steve is a very weak minded person. He will never win and as he gets older I don't see other parts of his game elevating to compensate loss of athletasism.

Hey folks..... notice... it was the New York Post. They're complete trash, and frequently are copletely wrong in their 'scoops'.

That's your feeling and I respect that.

But, I like the guy and right now he is lost on a horrible team with an even worse run organization. He'll land on his feet again. Just because people make millions of dollars, doesn't mean they are happy! You think he is satisfied being the 4th option to Marbury, Crawford, & J. Rose with no hope in sight? IMO, he is better than all 3 above.

I don't see Chauncy in SF. Not at all. They are very different people and players. Chauncey started elevating his game in year 5. Next season will be year 8 for SF. Will he ever figure it out? I doubt it, but anything is possible.

IT's not about figure out, it's about hard working. Judging from Steve's previous years, he obviously didn't put nearly as much work during off season as Yao to improve his game. In fact, I doubt if he had put any effort at all. He has God given talent, but now he's getting old.

Steve needs to give a damn once again, he's completely destroying his career the way he's been playing lately.

Just play your game man so you don't hurt your stock. If nothing else, play for youself and your own reputation, forget the Knicks for now.

he needs to pass the ball. did u watch them play the Heat?
steve just made some selfish decisions.

he needs to quit playing like marbury and needs to be steve again.

I think Larry Brown has pretty much banished every single guard he has to the bench: Marbury, Francis, Nate Robinson, Richardson, whoever. Not a lot of wins in MSG, but lots of BANISHMENT.

Did you just imply that Stevie wasn't being himself when he was hogging the ball?

Somewhere, many miles to the west, Steve Nash collapses in a fit of laughter...

I thought the same thing - Francis being "himself" is probably actually worse for his team than him being "banished".
