I know that with all the personel questions the Rockets must answer during the draft shooting guard is the least one of all. I know everyone is thinking Miller, Swift, and others of the type but I say forget them and go get Deshawn. Stevenson has been compared to Kobe Bryant and even his "Airness" Michael Jordan. I know Deshawn wont bring us any closer to a ring next year but who in the draft can? What Deshawn can give us is the most explosive backcourt in the leauge. The kid has 6'6'' 210 nba body with a 44'' verticle to boot. Let's face it our beloved Rockets are in a rebuilding stage so I say what a better way to start than teaming up Franchise and DeShawn ------------------
This would be the BEST backcourt in the NBA for years to come. I love Deshawn Stevensons game but most likely rudy wont go after a guard. Just because you can jump does not imply you can play. Where is Bill Willoughby these days? 48" vertical at 6'8" tall. The problem is, that you need to get players that work on their game, most like Robert Horry, settle for what they bring into the league, and never get better. The Stars add something every year. Stevenson is probably going to measure closer to 6'4" than 6'6". And he is not as good of an athlete as Kobe Bryant or Michael Jordan. And he is real raw skill wise compared to MJ or KB coming out of high school. ------------------
Can the guy shoot over 40%? The only way the Rockets need to draft another guard is if the guy has a magic shooting touch. ------------------ We need some meat in the post!
