My ex gf of 4 1/2 years did the exact same thing to me. She also assured me it wasn't about another guy and that she only wanted to be "free". 4 years later, she's with the guy she hooked up with 3 weeks after we broke up, a guy she met while me and her were still together. Maybe your girl is different, but I've seen this script before. On a happy note, I met someone 100% right for me and we're engaged to be married next year.
Yeah man. At this point I really could care less if it is another guy or girl or dog or fire hydrant or whatever, I just still can't get her out of my freaking head, it's like I got some kind of thing wired in brain that just doesn't let me let go. I might seriously take SWT's advice but I'd have a hard time finding option 2. Now options one and three
Same thing happened to me, With the girl for 2 1/2 years one day decides she needs a break from relationships and become her own person. 4 weeks later with another guy (who she met at the gym while we were dating) and 3 years down the track still with the same guy. My advice, Don't accept the offer for casual sex. Pull yourself away from her as quickly as possible and it is then both of you will realise exactly what you want. It will also make it easier to move on.
btw, I strongly suggest you totally get her out of your life or you'll never fully move on. Whatever you do, do not have sex with her, it will only confuse things even more. Go out with yoru firends, get some exercise, play sports, do something else. Enjoy your bachelorhood. Sex with an ex is NEVER EVER totally strings free.
Holy smokes, we just gave him the same advice! Serisouly Hayn, listen to us, we been there, literally.
Be thankful she was honest with you now. Move on with your life and don't waste it hoping to get her back. We've all been there. Like the chicks always say..."if it was meant to be, blah, blah, blah". And if you choose to go the booty call route DON'T BUY HER ANYTHING. You aren't "dating" so she's on her own when it comes to dinner, etc.
Yeah I really appreciate everyones advice, thanks. I just have to work out some financials with her since we had Direct deposit to the same account and treated everything the same. Yeah I know, Ill never make that mistake again. Anyways thanks for the advice guys.
I went through the exact same crap 10 years ago before I met my wife. It took me about a year to trully get over it because we dated so long and she was my first true love. The best thing about the break up is I found out exactly what I did and didn't want in a mate and found her the following year. I've been married almost 9 years and I couldn't be happier.
Anyone who doesn't know who they are by age 12 should be shot. Sorry that this happened after your investment.
Dude, get what you can and get it over with as fast as possible because no amount of money is worth the heartache of dealing with someone you have feelings for and knowing its not going anywhere good.
man, another one of these threads? I hate these threads. Don't you just want to punch this b****? and then run over the guy? Another guy is involved. Look, if you live in the Houston area, we can swing by this dudes house, and pelt his door with dead chicken heads, or leave some rotten durian fruit on his yard. I feel for you bro.
